mmmm ok

first off, try making both sides of his face for the most part equal if you're making a drawing of a face.

also, i didn't know that was his neck because there's no chin. the stitches look weird, especially considering this guy looks like he's 12. and whatup with his hair? seems like dreads but he's not jamaican

edit: good point body in the lake, i forgot about that. go ahead and google facial grid

Make the face more oval shape. Use the grid technique, to get the eyes, ears, nose and mouth right.
I can understand why you've put stitches, because you think the face looks to plain. That's why you should add in small details and shading, to fill the gaps.
Also, the hair needs to lay more. It looks really odd.
I could explain more, if needed.

Your going at it all wrong, start with an oval and add a line going vertical through the middle of the oval and then another horizontal one just below the half-way mark of his face. The just go over the outlines. Here's a quick example I whipped up http://www.trportfolio.net/upload/view_upload.php?id=98009

Add my MSN and I'll try showing you with a sort of tutorial on the basics tomorrow.
