i was on this site ages ago under the username demonhunter, but that account has been deleted (i'm sure from inactivity, but it also seems the forum has a new look...hmmm)

i remember people like hax, dosed, bongo, BTB, bigstick, amdack (or something)....i dont know if those people are still around

annnnyyyywhoooooo,

my wife just bought me a tablet so i started getting back into animating. here is my first fullbody attempt. i stole the character off of a tutorial and followed a stick tutorial to get the movements down....

whatdya think....

The character design is really nice but it lacked a lot of easing. Just add more frames and It'll look awesome! ^-^

Needs much more frames, and also easing.
Work on the sword trail, nice character design though.

It was too fast, but good for a first.
I see that you have drawing and redrawing skillz. Keep at it.
Also, needs some basics, like easing and stuff.

easing is just the flow of the animation right? like more easing = a smoother animation? (it's been a while since i've done anything animation :p)

Easing is a bit different - it's starting off slowly, increasing speed, decreasing speed at the right points. If you watch a ball bounce, notice that the ball doesn't just stop in mid air and change direction, it slows down, changes direction, then speeds up in the new direction. That's easing.

It DOES need more smoothing as well though.

It's difficult to tell if you need to work on your movements as well, because the animation is a bit too fast.

I love the character design and proportions though. Great work, spend some more time on the next one.

I say put the next animation on hold. If you work out the kinks on this one I'm sure it'll turn into an awesome anim and you'll feel great once its done. ^_^
