Huge improvement.
Instead of dissipating your effects like that, add more particles underneath, instead of an outline dissipation.

Delay in the first jump's 'whoosh'.

The red guy gets up way too fast. Of course he could fight back, but him getting up in half a second after falling feels unrealistic. I would have him attempting to get up, or having him get enough time to get up rather than squishing the frames together. A good way to mend this could be key animating and in between animating. Animate every 5 frames in the timeline, make sure it all makes sense, and fill the stuff in between. Worth a try, eh?

Overall, well done. It isn't bad at all.

it seems ether too fast, or if you want to keep it at this speed, ease it up some more.

I was aiming at getting him bounce really hard in a shaky way from the smash, and landing inintentially on his feet, but it looks reall off and choppy.

I'll keep at it this way.
