This is just an introduction of my character so far (might alter it) and i worked on it for about a hour straight.

http://www.swfup.com/file/152880

24FPS, 90 frames. C & C, but please don't say things like "omg, that's so n00b hardcore" or something because i know i'm a noob. I'm learning and this is the best i did so far.

omg, that's so n00b hardcore....

joke ^^

well, you should improve on your smoothness and the walking first dude if i were you... also the physics were off in the part where he does the lightning thingy..

you should improve on the lightning too.

oh and if i were you start off on a lower fps first just like 18 fps dude, dont rush things and if you think 18 fps begins to get slower it means you have been improving, it means your animations are getting more detailed so raise your fps up.

well to summarize it all..

dont rush your self, you got a lot of time to improve, oh and never set your mind that you are like an animation god when your not coz that wont help you improve i promise, and when you get criticisms like "you stupid noob stop animating" dont get affected with that, take that as a challenge to improve yourself

Ahh! Thanks guys!! Made my day for sure. And i don't think i'm an animating god..lol! Look at Terkoiz and mine..ya..you'd have to be insane to think to yourself that you are. People have said about the walking in like every animation i made so i'll try to improve that. I worked on the walking a little on here and it's DEFINITELY better than my old ones. The lightning, i know, wasn't amazing lol. I just needed something i could whip up quick. I was trying to just make a short animation and test myself to see if i can come up with something neat in 1 hour and that's what i got. When spring break comes i'll work on them day and night and practice like crazy. I tried animating at 18fps too, but when i add frames like that it just seemed wayyy too slow, but i guess i could practice my way up.

SOOO...all in all after this long ass paragraph of nothing important at all, thanks for your great comments and thanks to Javarush for giving me some pointers and inspiration to move on forward!

Well, you should try and fix up the way you draw your stick for sure. Try turning the brush thickness down a bit, or make your sticks taller if you're going to draw them like that. Instead of making the limbs curvy, try drawing the sticks as of a line stick would look. Going on, you need some more work on easing, and flowing each move into another. This is also called anticipation. When you draw effects, such as lightning, try using a different color, and spend more time drawing each frame. Theres my bit of C&C.

@Trakr3: For your own sake, get rid of that signature, NOW.

Mmm..alright. Not sure exactly what you're trying to say bout the stick but basically it's "make the stick look better" and i'll try to do so. I've heard anticipation like a lot, so yeah..thanks anyways.

Alright.. First thing I noticed was that the physics were off = /, I'm sure after playing it a few times and reworking it it'll look okay. Second thing I noticed was the funny jump, try making his/her (lol, her.) legs wider apart. Finally, the lightning was kinda sloppy, but I think that can be improved on easily.
Btw - You forgot to smooth him out at the end or something.

Still, movement was smooth and a good idea. :) Keep animating.. Keep animating. :)

Err.. Physics need serious work and clean up your stickfigures. Makes them less blob like. It's wobbly as hell too and the fx need attention, and umm.. Yeah.. keep practicing.
