That was not your first animation son, it took me like a week just to understand what everything is....
The stick's movments are weird and it needs easing

Thanks for the kind words! It is my first though, and I hope I can improve (like somehow add power to punches/kicks - maybe reduce frames towards the end of a punch?). That's really encouraging!

It is my first anjimation, but it wasn't easy... spent like over an hour on a <4 second anim. As for understanding what things are... I was just draw, add frame, draw and repeat lol.

What do you mean by 'weird' exactly? Is it how there's no power to punches/kickes and it looks like he's dancing or something? XD I'll try and fix that for future animations - I'm just animating some kicks and stuff now in a different style.

thanks for the comments!

It was stiff but other than that it was pretty good.

Thank you, I'll try and improve on that.

This time I'll watch some tuts and then make another short one. :)

Yep, I guess adding a flat line to future anims shouldn't be a problem. :) And thanks!

Actually to the contrary my dear Watson, infact the skill level of the animators are vastly improving.

And for the sake of it, I once made this really awesome flash, it was my first, I would draw a frame then insert a new frame, but I thought the sticks would like move themselves when I made a new frame, so I thought they would fight once I drew them, god that was an epic fail....
