Practicing a bit for Mesmay's collab.
I need in depth ideas for detailed backgrounds.

Nothing special, honestly. You can do so much better.

Yeah, not every background is detailed and has animation in it.
I want some ideas for backgrounds to make. Complicated stuff, ya know.

Make a castle, put some lights in it and put effort into the shadows.

I should warn you, if you're practising, make something A LOT bigger (dimensions) and try and make most of it the background rather than the floor they will stand on.

This one is average, like Lixu said, you can do so much better.
The sky is way too harsh a colour as well, imo.

This Bg is way below you'r usual quality of backgrounds.

I was just trying some stuff out.
Lixu, I'm not dumb, lol. Lighting and shadows are kind of my thing. I do, however, put a layer of alpha on my outlines to kind of add an affect when there are no lights.

Mesmay, I always set my dimensions to 400x200 for a basic project. So when doing a background for your collab, I'm probably going to do a 400x200 background, and slide it off to the left or right wall of the frame and draw another 400x200 frame for the background. In case you're confused, I basically made two 400x200 (800x200) scenes as one. I like using 400x200 because I can still see the entire frame when I zoom.

More background ideas plox =3
