I'd suggest brush because it leaves more options and line is very hard to animate with, it takes a while to get used to.

ok on brush should i free draw the head or circle tool?

I free draw the head. But if you're animating a stick with a different color head (Or if it's a zombie and has something like blood on the face or a scar) then use the circle tool.

but the brush is sometimes much messier and lines are good but they intercept so you have to undo if you stuffed it up and do it again so.... i'd probably go with lines

It depends.. be free to make your own style. Experiment a bit with it.

The best for beginners is brush tool, with either a free drawn head or a circle head.

It depends on how steady your hand is.

And when I mean using the circle tool, I mean making a detailed head then turning it into a symbol. Then just drag the head into position each frame.

if you do brush, its probably easier to get into fb once youre good enough at stick.

thanks you all for ur help i can see different veiw points and i think im gonna mix up things in different animations.
