Yay! These two things have been on newgrounds for a while.
Check them out.

I'm a moozishun.

the first was respectively better.
The second one, not so much, in a respective way.

My comments are better than floods in a respective way.

Lacks a ****ton of equalizing and compression, but you got a good idea of melodies and the like.

Still, it all sounds like one big glob of molten music.

Explain. I'm a nub at FLStudio. What should it be like? How do I get better?

Well like I said, you do have a good idea of composing.

Just technically you don't seem so good. Put equalizers on most of the channels and adjust them, experiment with those a lot. You want the instruments to sound more individual, at least the lead instruments like Pianos for example. You should just experiment with effects and equalizing, that's the best way to learn.
For compression, before you go crazy about that, it usually increases the sound quality enough for a start to go the lazy way; put "FL Compressor" on the Master channel in the mixer, pick the "Complete Mix" preset on it and that should do. Work out adding some essence with EQs before you dip into compression a lot.

impressive music it was to be

Why would you even talk about my comments? I didn't even say anything in this thread.

Yeah, everything sounds very muddy, but melodically you seem to have an idea of what you're doing. You'll figure out how to master your tracks as you go on, but don't wait too long before you try to do it. Work with the equalizer, the parametric EQ is my favorite one. Work on keeping multiple instruments from peaking at the same frequencies, that's usually what causes the "muddy" sound.

Damn, I need help. Where is the equalizer? I feel so noobish. -_-
Also new song. I didn't follow any of your rules guys. Sorry.
Btw, this might make you hate me: I have the Demo Version. :/

Well that's not very nice.

dont listen to him haha.

basically when you drag or replace a channel with a VSTi or any other instrument, click on the channel and youl see that it says "FX" with a number next to it, the one in this image is set to 1, which means in the mixer you can add effects like reverb and other stuff and it will only affect the instruments set to "FX 1". Same goes for when you set other instruments to 2, then 3, 4. Also same thing goes for different drum kits. Like with a kick obviously youd want more bass and maybe take the mids down, and youd want a different setting for the snare and so on.

Back to the image. To open the mixer just press f9. You will be on channel 1 already. Then on the little drag down choose "Fruity panametric EQ 2" this is just the one i use. Then just experiment with moving the points around and playing your melody back, until you get an understanding of how it works.

Basically though, wherever you move the points up, thats the part of the sound wave thats going to be affected. So if you moved the point thats furthest down under "low bass" you will start to hear your instrument get bassier. But make sure you dont overdo it. Also when you paly back your music, your panametic EQ will light up on certain parts. This is where the sounds are currently highest in the frequency. So it gives you a better idea of where to boost it or where to take it down.

I hope this helped somehow haha.
