Well, I am thinking about getting an xbox for my bday. Actually, I know I want to, but my parents dont.

But anyways, if they somehow DO get it for me. Do you have to buy the 100 dollar adapter thing to connect to the internet? Or I heard you can just use the ethernet cable...

Help would be appreciated.

Yeah you can just use the ethernet cable, it is what I use at both parents houses. Then again at my step mothers house.

The adapter is only useful if you are going to be moving your 360 to a place where the ethernet can't reach, other then that, buy a new game with the money you save. >_>

Wait, the ethernet cable comes with the xbox right?

Also, where do you plug in/plug out (if you know what I mean) the ethernet cable?

Yes a very short one comes with the xbox, but you can buy like a 100' one off of ebay for like 6 dollars. Also there is an ethernet plug in on your xbox that you will see, and you just plug in the ethernet cable into your router or modem.
