there is too much of an accent, GLaDOS talks more monotone i guess. sounded like the voice from Command & Conquer or something

sounds a bit wierd still. voice is still high pitched. But then again, I guess you just have to experiment.

How is that an opinion? You don't control the cosmos, when last I checked. If that's an opinion, then I say a burning stick would be much colder than a soaking wet baseball. You can't say anything against it because it's my opinion.

He said the voice sounded high pitched, and all I did was post a link to a youtube video of actual game footage to show him that it wasn't high pitched at all because he may have forgotten how it sounded. So instead of replying with a normal answer, he throws the "I HAVE AN OPINION" card at me in a case that it is completely unnecessary in.
Why don't you people stop following behind me and documenting everything I say and then capitalizing on one part of my post to make it sound like I'm being a dogmatic until you actually see what I'm replying to in order to tell what my intentions were, asshole.

Who was throwing a hissy fit? Stop blowing everything I say out of proportion. All asked was how saying something is high pitched as compared to how it really sounds is an opinion. Then I showed him how he sounded by throwing the opinion card around. Determining whether or not something is high pitched is just as much someone's opinion as saying whether or not concrete is softer than a down pillow.
You're the one missing the point here. And you're being a hypocrite in the process as well.

I think the one Jawz posted talking about how to do it in melodyne worked better. The finished product sounded exactly like GlaDoS.

GLaDOS's voice isn't machine made. They had the same person that does the TF2 announcer (and the Combine radio female, I think.) to do the voice, and then they enhanced it.
She did all the voice by herself. About the only thing that was enhanced was the echo levels.

Yeah, that's probably why OP's link doesn't sound as good. He pretty much took a text to speech voice and twisted it. It just sounds like a robot rather than GLaDOS. It's still a good effect if you want to make an animation with a robot in it create a robotic sample voice for a song, but not if you're specifically looking for GLaDOS.
