Well give an example of someone else's movie that you want the outcome to be like.

You mean the x and y blur unlock?

Shines?

Glows?

There's a chance he's talking about those glassy reflections on the floor, like in Dudeman's shadow tutorial.

I believe you can simply use a gradient.

If that's what he means, he does this:

Copy and paste all the frames you want reflected into a movie clip.

Put the movie clip on it's own layer.

Free transform it upside down

Make another layer over your "shadow"'s layer with a gradient from white alpha 100% to white alpha 0%, and vertically stretch it across your floor.
