I'm planning on actually doing something with this, but for now it's only particles practice. C&C folks!

EDIT: I made another one with pencil instead of brush and at 24 fps instead of 15. Which is better? http://filebox.me/view/i5fk23f4g
EDIT2: And here they are (pause for dramatic effect) AT THE SAME TIME! *gasp* http://filebox.me/view/yxe1056q7

Just a tip, the flash section is ridiculously inactive...

The particles look a bit too structured, there isn't enough spontaneous and random sparks, and the lines and dots look too obviously like brush strokes. The easing on the ball was good until the last little uppercut in which you got lazy. Keep at it.

I liked it, it's fun to watch. I think you should have the particles last a bit longer before disappearing (one, two, maybe 3 frames more) and ease it a bit on that last swish upwards.

Maybe you could turn this thing into a magical ball of flowing shit that terrorizes the citizens of Flashville as it swooshes about, dripping shit particles all over the houses.

Or not.

how can I make the dots and lines look less like brush strokes when I am using a brush?

Zoom in further, and make the particles more detailed.

I think the first one was a bit better, considering the stream and particles weren't as big so they didn't seem to evaporate as fast.
