Ya so when I draw my sticks they look OK but the more I animate them, the smaller they get. I will be on the computer for hours just to get a non chainging walk cycle
I have used the grid and I do have a pen tablet if there is any consictency tuts i'll gladly read/watch them. Thanks

use onion skin. that way you can see the stick as it's drawn for several frames at a time, and correct resizing. The grid only works by itself if you scale the stick to the grid itself, or remember approximately how far it should be at any given point

I use guide lines instead of the grid to keep my guys the right size, that way i don't need to fit the grid...

to use guide lines:

enable rulers by clicking on View > Rulers, or by pressing CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + R

The rulers will appear at the edges of your animation.

To add a guide line, click on one of the ruler, and drag on to your animation

You can add as many as you want. Guide lines will not appear when you export your animation. I usually position mine like this:

This way, whenever your guy is standing upright, you can make sure he's the right size and proportion.
