Well, it's about time I made a new thread. It'll have a bunch of animations (old AND new)

OLD
http://img225.imageshack.us/i/ufailagain.gif/
http://img509.imageshack.us/i/theshooting7.gif/ (I like this one)
http://img253.imageshack.us/i/whatrankaminew.gif/
http://img402.imageshack.us/i/pinkhairguy.gif/

NEW
http://img443.imageshack.us/i/wittlejhoint.gif/
http://img706.imageshack.us/i/killingadefaultwithasti.gif/
http://img143.imageshack.us/i/coolstickmanscuicide.gif/
http://img716.imageshack.us/i/rusteliminator.gif/

The old ones are they're just to show how much I've improved witch, as it happens, isn't very much :( damn rust.

THERE I DELETED THAT CHEERLEADER!!!
HAPPY NOW!!???

I liked my cheerleader. :C

I like your style in general. It's fun to watch. Keep making stuff, and make some bigger and more complicated stuff. Do something like a stickman navigating his way across an obstacle course.

Your really good at this. Not only does that resemble to my awesomeness so does the cons too. I guess that your movements are good and stuff. But, you've got to apply them well. You've got to make a good animation with a full storyline and crap. I would, if I had the sticks to do so.

You know it just has it that I've started a big animation but...I've kinda lost inspiration, what should I do next?....
http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/8351/afightanimation.gifThis is why I don't usually do big animations..because the quality of the animation goes down, anywhay yeah what should I do next?

UPDATE
http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/8351/afightanimation.gifhehehe, and in classic ghostly style, it ends with a fail :)

Zed

There's some expertly done heavy spacing in there. Looks a bit dd-ish but that's not really a problem. The bit where the blue guy is hit and goes flying should be drawn out a bit longer.

Why the fuck is there a cheerleader-fag there?

Waah? what's a cheerleader fag? Is it some american word?
And zed, yeah I tried my best but for some reason no matter how much I streched it out it was still disopointingly short :(

Anyone else wanna cc?
anyone?

You kind of lost the sense of where the ground was in the animation, and the flying out really should have been drawn out longer. Other than that, I find it to be a decent animation.

also, cheerleader and fag are two separate words, so he's calling that guy a faggot cheerleader

Remove the homo cheerleader , If you don't see it your gay.
After you removed him ill give you Cc.

Lol.

Your style is quite unique.

I think you just need to make a longer animation and watch the foot placement.

Keep it up!

This is sort of a bump and sort of a CC request. The faggot cheerleader WILL be removed and I need someone to tell me the goods and bads of this aniamtion.
http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/4904/unstableplatform.gif
I posted this in the begginers thread but didn't really get any CC.
Oh and by the way, do I still belong in the begginers thread or should I leave?
I'm starting to make longer animations with fancy backgrounds and stuff so I think I'm starting to get better.

Zed

The bit after he comes up from absorbing the impact looks shaky. Besides that it's hard to cc something like that.

And what about the whole begginers thread thing?

EDIT: I don't know if I allready posted this but what the hell I'll post it anyways.
http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/3687/newstk.gifI like it because there isn't any of that darn shaky foot disease.

Zed
03-26-2010, 01:49 PM
I think you need to try to judge for yourself. If you've done an animation that you've spent ages on and that you think is good then post outside. If you've just made a short test or loop or something then the BT is good. If you make an animation with little heavy spacing and lots of good movement then it'd probably be fine, although most of the stuff you make hasn't got much movement tbh. Essentially, you have the ability; it's just whether you choose to use it.

Sniff, Sniff.
Zed....You.....have inspired me......sir, I am going to make a beutiful animation And put it RIGHT here. In my thread. Today.

And here it is.
http://img179.imageshack.us/i/areallyeasedandflowyani.gif/

Not the longest, but the animation quality is the best that I have ever done. I took into account, physics, flowyness, easing, foot-placement and stiffness.

Zed
03-26-2010, 02:30 PM
Exactly. That's the kind of quality I'm talking about.

Now make it 4 times longer :)

bubbles
03-26-2010, 02:55 PM
I updated it a bit, i'll update it more.
http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/5262/areallyeasedandflowyani.gif
But unfortunatly it turned to crap, It's not bad I think but it's not as good as the first bit. :(

Zed
03-26-2010, 03:00 PM
It's the heavy spacing and then stopping. You need continuous movement for a coupla hundred frames.

Zed
03-26-2010, 03:46 PM
It's like, there's a great bit of movement - the bend, forwards, and fall - but then he's lying on the floor for a bit. That breaks the animation up. I'd like to see one made so that there's never two identical frames in a row, and possibly more than one person moving at once.

Ooh. I'll try the movement thing. But I think 2 things at once may be pretty difficult. I guess I'll try it tomorrow cause I'm getting tired now.

Zed
03-26-2010, 04:00 PM
Yeah, don't try to rush it. Best to get it sorted with one guy first.

Zed

I'd say just get started and see where the flow takes you. That's what I do.

poppetje3D
03-26-2010, 05:23 PM
Wow That lame , ''What should I animate?''

Dont ask people , think about it yourself , else your imagination will get screwed.
Just a lil tip.

Right. Now anyways heres the animation...
http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/323/theverypowerfulattack.gifA few rough edges here and there but on the whole I think I'm starting to get the hang of this.

Just to make sure rate this animation out of 5. 1=crap 5=perfect

Yeah I saw that whilst animating it, couldn't get rid of it no matter how hard I tried.
Oh yeah And I just realized that after that wierd arm attack thingy he was off balance.

Zed
03-27-2010, 07:46 AM
I'm not sure what to rate it as, but I really like it. It all makes a nice anticipation for that last bit and the power on it was brilliant.

The legs seemed overly stiff to me, even after the bit where it was deliberate. And the punch seemed to lack a bit of force. Not one of your best really.

I liked it.

Tortuga
04-03-2010, 10:08 AM
I think you could add a bit of force by taking out that one frame where the arm is over his head, that just slows down his movement and takes away power. And as Zed said, the legs where meh.

We know you're better than that, don't try to fool us.

04-03-2010, 10:19 AM

Tortuga
04-03-2010, 10:48 AM
No wonder. You added two frames in between the anticipating movement, and the forceful movement. Doing so will decrease the force drastically. Start from scratch, i would suggest taking out that other frame that you put in there, but then you would have to edit the legs, which now look even more stiff because you took out that one frame, and editing stuff in pivot is a pain in the ass.

I would go farther, but i think you know why i won't.

When I watched the first videos I wasn't really impressed, they just looked like the regular pivot videos you see on youtube but I got impressed at the 3rd old video, and I also loved the 4th new video, mainly because they were pretty unique. Don't have a lot to say about it.
Really want to see more of you, keep it up!

The legs seem to shake a bit after the twist, and also, it's hard to tell how he got from one position to the other. It's not bad. It's just not great.
