Here's implementing some of the ideas you guys told me to,
Wear headphones as they make it sound that much better.
The thing I'd really want to change first is the ultra panned pieces in the beginning.
But yeah...:P

Tell me what to make to sound better.

I geus I liked it, a bit. If you want to make the sound/music better, the guitar sounded like a solo and it really bothers me that there is that other guitar buzzing over it. All together it was to much. but I think you will definately improve.
Good luck!

You realize that this was a test right?
also it was instrumental rock, so it was supposed to be a solo sorta.
I just realized there's buzzing, gimme a second to fix that in the programming.

Who are you again?

I took the buzzing guitar out,
at least I think I did,
Next time you post can you make it a bit more descript and use musical theory words to make sense of what you're saying please?

You're comment isn't very helpful to me.

I gave it another chance and I must say, it does sound pretty good. I have no experience in music making so I don't know how hard this is. Maybe I was just only judging on 0:33-0:42 because that's the part that I dislike, Everything else sounds pretty good, if this was a test I'm sure when put together something nice will come out. Sorry if you got offended because some random person who made a account today telling you how and what.
My apologies.

EDIT:
I just read your edited post and your song made me think about metallica, especially this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcB6SgkG4AE&feature=fvst
If you hear the guitar solo There isn't really much going on in the background, everything is focused on the solo, but maybe it's just what I like, I think the song I just showed and the song you made might be in a different category.

EDIT:EDIT:
I just read your new post, and I would like to give some "music making" a try but I don't want to waste a lot of money on something I dont even like. Is there a free program around on the internet (without pirating it).

Lol, I'm not offended,
I just like good criticism.

If you need some help finding what kind of music I'm putting together here,
um,
I know that these people are a lot better than I but here's some examples:

Stuff like that.
Thanks for joining,
If you're interested in starting musical writing, I could try to help,
you should also ask Exilement, as he's a much more mature musician than I, My style is still developing,
but I'm pretty good at explanations and I can definitely handle newbie stuff.

Which song is it?
It is blocked in the US for some reason.

Well,
I use TuxGuitar for programming midis and such.
I've made some good money making video game music from it,
that's free from what I know.

Drums are way too quiet, I know they're not the focus but there's no point in testing how a guitar is going to sound in a studio setting without anything else around them, it won't hold up to the final product

Overall it just lacks energy, that first chord has absolutely no drive to it. All the individual sections are kind of out of time with everything else

It doesn't sound terrible but it definitely sounds like it was put together with someone without much experience in recording. I know you listen to music like this, try to emulate the production standards of your own recordings with those bands

Should I do something for power like this?
I recorded this a few weeks ago.

Here's it with louder drums,
I got sick of Newgrounds so I moved to Tindeck.

I don't know why I'm in this section, but I listened to that test, and something just didn't sit right with me. It started off to where i was like "Ok, this is not bad." but when the "solo" as I'll call it, started, I just could not listen to it any more. It just sounded off to me. But anyway, otherwise I liked it, kinda makes me want to start doing this kind of stuff.

What time does the solo start?

About 18 seconds in. I mean it's great and all, it just feels off. Off beat, or off key, I don't know.

Ah, ok. Well anyway, What program do you use to make that? I'm interested.

I wrote it all on guitar got studio equipment,
Used a line Six Pod XT Live for effects,
a marshall JVM for effects/ sound,
A Tascam input system,
A Yamaha kit for drums,
an Ibanez Bass,
a Custom Ibanez guitar,
and I used Garageband to record it all lol,
You can make nice sounding stuff out of cheap recording programs,
don't listen to what people say.

Ah, pretty cool. Speaking of which, I have an Ibanez Guitar myself, I mean, I got it used, and it's a lefty. And I have yet to learn much of how to play, I mean I can read tabs, I just need motivation to really start learning... and a new set of strings, my first set is pretty much broken.

Well,
I could help you,
I give lessons over Skype sometimes.
I opened for a few pretty big acts, the biggest being Black Tide.

But yeah,
I could help you with some stuff technique wise if you want it.
