At least he has the basic movements down. Not like it's making unessesary movements.

If he had basic movements down, it wouldn't look this bad.

Just stop reacting, you're making a fool out of yourself.

I'm out, we're spamming this thread.

http://i40.tinypic.com/6z2feu.gifHmmm, work on physics, remember that in order to wall jump like that he would need some sort of running start and at least a little anticipation before the jump, and power to get off of the wall. In-fact, wall jumping like that is actually impossible in real life but this is pivot. It would allso help to add an extra joint to your guys back to make him look less stiff. And that brings me onto stiffness, remember to move each joint in each and every frame or it will look stiff. Then is the lack of easing, remember that easing is the acceleration and decelleration of a thing or a person, easing goes like this...
l=frame -=space
l-l--l------l--l-l
Just do that in each movement your guy does and it will help to make it look better.

And you guys should be ashamed of yourselfs! Stop spamming and just help this guy out with his animations godamnit!

Trust me, running is the LEAST of your problems. Learn the basics like easing, stiffness and physics before asking for run tuts.

If you don't like it then don't comment

You're missing the point. When we don't like the animation is the best time to comment because we can point out what's wrong and help you improve. People who think you're perfect are unhelpful. In this case, however, the guys in question are being deliberately unhelpful.

For now I recomend simple movements where you can look at how they really happen and try to mimic it, and try adding easing too as was mentioned above.

@Everyone else: When the beginners thread was closed I didn't expect a complete ceasation of poor quality animations. It's not like people were aiming to make their animations beginner level so that they wouldn't look out of place. Yes, there will be threads from people like this. The point is that they need criticism and experienced animators like you to help them. You weren't looking at their an imations in the beginners section. Now you are. Since you're here you might as well give some helpful advice which I know you're all capable of.

I knew that.
Edit: What the?! He editted it. In the part where I watched it the two animations were so close together like it was one animation. So I thought the boxed moved by itself. :p

Gyohdonz

I say do tests.
Just that.

Animations with just one movement, like only running, or only walking nothing else.
