View Full Version : Would you actually play on a Forum roleplay thread?

Simple question. This is to see if it's worth to make yet another one. If I do make one though, you can be sure this one will be better than the rest. Far better. I'll go as far as actually drawing my characters.

If you say yes, put suggestions and stuff. If you say no, say why. Note that saying no will shorten your ePenis by 4 inches, by 8 if you say "ew bcuz dats ghey lol dude gtfo". And if you piss me off I'll chop your dick with a spreadsheet.

No, I'm not back. I will be as long as my RP thread lives.

NOTE TO ****TARDS: Roleplay does NOT mean you have to pretend you're a little elf or something. Forum roleplay means that you make a character and you guide his life, not that you make a character and make his life your own.

No for me. It's a personal thing though. I hate all forum games and dread the thought of role play. There's just something that keeps me from enjoying it.

And yes, I think gmod roleplay is stupid as well.

No one said anything about GMod roleplay. If that can even be considered roleplay.

Well, it's your opinion and stuff, so I respect that.

Well, I'm assuming it is a lot more immersive that's all. They have basically an entire mod dedicated to it.

Text seems limited compared to what you can do with voice acting and events.

It's good until you log off for a day and find out that 15 pages have passed and your guy is obsolete.

Well, I'm not a big fan of roleplaying, just doesn't interest me really. I mean I guess I can understand why people enjoy it, kinda like playing Sims I suppose, but it's not for me.

It is fairly fun, as it provides an escape and lets you do things differently to how you would normally.

Hmm. Well, I lose nothing by trying.

It'll be up tomorrow or maybe somewhere next week. I want to draw my characters though.

I wouldn't.

I'd explain why but the various reasons why I find it uninteresting seems kind of irrelevant to your overall goal of having people participate.

I've tried it. I got bored of it quick and left the forum within 4 days.

I would, but I know that at some point in time I wouldn't log in for a few days, and my part of the story would be ****ed.
So if I did join, I'd just have my character killed off early on.

I have been roleplaying for 1 maybe 2 years now =P on different sites, I tried making one, but didn't in the end. If you mean like, roleplay as a certain character, and like act like him. and write the way he would write (Dbz for example) Then yes I did that. =3

Make one. I'm bored.

No.

Because I always get ignored. And because it associates me with the times when I was like 6 years old and played with toys, making a storyline and borrowing them my voice. It makes me feel kinda silly.

But I'm glad you guys enjoy it.

No thanks, not for me.

Well I'd do it if I had the kind of creativity that others had. And the stories get too complicated to follow up on.

In any other given situation, I would entertain the idea of any roleplay, and try it out. For now, however, I'm cracking down on tests, a book, a paper, and my Contest entry, so I currently have no time to do anything.
