View Full Version : DIFFIRENT STICK EMPIRE ONLINE GAME MODES IDEAS

ok i know that lots of work has to be done before there anychanges
to the actual play style but the classic attck and break enemy statue gets stale after a while
so i thought up a few game modes that would help variety the game to choose between game modes
when click play match a couple of icons come up saying which game mode then "CLICK"
your in a lobby for that gamemode.

IDEAS

NUMBER 1.) SEIGE: in this there is an attacker and defender the defender has a big wall castle. and he has to hold the defense for say 5 minutes so hes gotta do a good defend job in the courtyard is the miners mining you can start defending or mining your choice also tower upgrades include archer towers on the walls you can put a archer in and billistas to shoot at stuff.

now the attacker has a little encampant on the farf side of the map he has to make catapults(to kill archers and archer towers)soldiers to storm the castle killing defenders and a battering ram to protect gate he can raise up a army or go stright for the defense weaken their upgrades can be flaming catapults or long range catapult where you can now hit miners in the courtyard ninjas should be able to ninja in over the walls aswell if attcker gets in walls and reaches throne room or whatever he wins if defender holds out for 5 mins defender will win.

NUMBER 2 TEAM DEATHMATCH: in this there will be 2 people on each team only allowed to control their own troops so they cant mess up your teamate and there are 2 castle next to eachother one is your the othe is teamates same for enemy across the map and you get your own team chat you dont have to be same race so choas can work with order!! and the team get 1 chat fro team chat and another chat for talking to enemy
you dont have to put another chatbox just type /team or something. and you have to cordinate to take down the enemy it will be awesome! and ranking points are shared to how much a particlur teammate did so its judges on skill not just awesome teammates objective is to kill the other teams statue! problem with this ideas is that the match server thing might not cope with all the internet connection and stuff and lag will be more common. and if one teammate laggs your team loses :(.

NUMBER 3 NEW MAP TYPES: okay i know this isent a game mode but it would still be great on the this new speacial map its not just skill that wins enviroment factrors in aswell like spikes randomly coming outta ground and wiping all your swordwrath or hurricanes and stuff and so even if your failing it would take only a stroke of luck for your enemies entire army to half die off in a freakish pit that they just fell into! heheh.

NUMBER 4 co-op: instaed of fighting other players you can work together to deafeat a computer controlled enemie thats realy over powered to make it fair this can work in 3 ways 1# you have seprate castles on each side of the "bandit(or whatever npc you wanna call it)camp" and you attck from both sides!! this is awesome becasue you have to relie on your teamate to help out becasue if you try soloing you will die! 2# again as in the team deathmatch idea both players castles are right next to eachother but i think this wouldent be as fun in this idea 3# this is a varitaion
of classics take tower in middle idea the plan is the 1st person who manages to deafeat bandits in middle take bandit camp/castle and gains massive bonuses and the bandits surrneder and join you then you go on to wipe out the other player (this may have to be another idea but it was so alike to co-op i just put it here as a variation) to deafeat npcs you gotta destroy the statue like in classic.

NUMBER 5 GOLD RUSH!: you have 5 minutes to get the most gold you can get!! no mana is allowed in this version so its harder and you can either risk sabataging your enemy or you can risk taking the gold rush flag in the middle giving you extra gold to win!!! (+50 or something) this is probaly the easiest gamemode to make. so it might be the 1st one out or something if they do make game modes.

NUMBER 6 CONQUEST: ok this is a big mode type but it could be cool what it basicly is. is that actualy ill explaing 1st you know how on campaign
before each level you travel the big map and go to a place? its basicly that but you tell your armyies which place to go to and you have to conquer it the enenmy player has to conquer your land and you vice versa and when a battle starts its just goes to classic style battle.the person who winstakes that land and the person who owns the most land or captures the enemy capital wins to not get confused enmey land or painted red your lands are painted blue and the more land/places you own in immorta (thats where stick war takes place and stick war 2) the more bonuses you get like say you take over a new place you could get any of the following bonus's. starting cash bonus, cheaper archidons ,passive gold at start of battle and lots of other. oh and the max amount of land is 10 and each player owns 5 also on the map stage of playing you can use gold that you earn from winning battle to purchase defenses for places you think the enemy may attack. only problem is that in this gamemode the match will last AGES
so you have to be in it to win it or have alot of time on your hands forfeiters will lose to the winners.

so people post your game mode variety games!! ideas!! (i dont think there is a game mode idea thread 0.o but incase their is sorry)

#3 is horrible. then whats the point of getting good if a bolt of lighting kills of all ur juggerknights right before they destroy the statue?

ok maybe number 3 went abit to far but still its a good idea if it abit weaker how about like a wall comes up randomly and you cant attck for a while due to wall but then if your choas you can bomber your way through it? or wait for it to come down oh! and maybe you can expand the map like the miners can dig miner tunnels underground and your units can tunnel to the enemy castle! and you could ingame scroll down to see the tunnels...wait then the game will be half about tunnels....ok scrap the tunnels how about miner dig pit abilty for choas the towers suck -_- but the pits should be expensive like 500 gold and 100 mana or something to reasearch and the miner will dig a pit on the map and if troops go in the fall on spikes but the order has a power called bridge now where swordwrath stick a plank over the pit to run across that would be cool.

If you were to do three, the traps would have to be really predictable to make it more strategy than chance. You would have to be able to see the death trap before it activated, so that each side would try to get the other to fall for it.

Also, here's my ideas for a new gamemode:

Ravine Warfare:
There are three strips of land that are separated, and they only come together at the edge of each castle. The top lane lets you see the farthest, the middle lane lets you capture the center (but most vulnerable to attack), and the lower lane is the fastest route. All the gold mines are close to the castle, and only aerial units can jump from lane to lane. Archers, Deads, EGiants, mages, and merics can attack and heal across one lane, so an archidon in the top row couldn't hit a unit on the bottom row, but could hit a unit on the middle row. You would have to strategically distribute troops to each side and take full advantage of their advantages in order to win the battle.

Last Stand:
Each side is given a large amount of money and mana and have five minutes to build their armies with no cooldowns. Once the five minutes are over, they can attack each other, but otherwise will have NO income of any sort. The best 2 out of 3 wins, unless the battle lasts longer than fifteen minutes.

Gold Rush Alternative:
Instead of a timer, the battle ends when both mines are entirely rid of gold, and the center tower and monuments are removed. That means the only way to win is by getting a miner to the other side quickly. Both sides start with a castle archer/dead, but cannot upgrade the castles beyond that. If both somehow finish with a tie, even after spending money on troops, a gold mine spawns in the center. The first to get a miner to strike this gold mine ONCE wins.

cool ideas ive seen the ravine warfare idea on a few other games and it works well. and also in goldrush alternitive you have to buy the castle guy yourself because you have to take risks you have to guess if the enemy will come and attack your miners or if he will dig in for defense or just go miner pro it will be to easy to just sit and relax knwoing you have a castle guy there but there can be a alternative to your alternitive instead of castle archer already there how about you start off with 700 gold at the start so you can buy archer andddd have maybe a few defenders/more miners? also dont people already have a sorta type last stand where they agree that they will wait 10 minutes to start battle? with other freinds?

What if you wanted to do it WITHOUT friends?

And also, goldmine alternative has no monuments and no statue, and you have to have the most gold in the end. Camping around will guarentee you a boring tie, so you have to build up an effective enough army to be able to take down the enemy's and hold off the castle archer (merics perhaps?). I'm going to edit in another idea to my post above as well.

Kinda like the campaign we could start with different unit we get to choose.

Example, we could start with 5 miners or 1 miner and 3 archers or 1 Mage 1 ninja one miner etc etc

It works like this. We get 10 points to spend (before game) miner costs 3 point, sword cost 1 archer cost 3 allow torsos cost 4 etc etc. and we could make our own starting army.

For number 6,, just create a 3v3 group. This will lead a faster results.

Yes, and that's the whole point, the strategy is to decide whether to boost your own economy or take down theirs. You can either put in a few miners and a defense team, go for a lot of miners and kill the enemy economy before they can catch up, kill the enemy ASAP, etc.

You missed out the DEATHMATCH mode!!!! :P

I agree with team matches and co-op (they will be great!!!)

Survival mode is also okay, like stick war one did
actually I am quite disappointed that Stick War 2 has only one game mode.... destroy the statue, but there are variable modes in Stick war one
