Defense will earn you nothing. Offense gives you the element of surprise and surpression.

All right! At the moment I am 10 wins 1 loss for this account, and I have to say the one time I lost was when I played defense. Keep in mind I have another account so I am not completely new. Anyways, to the strategy part.

For Order: Put your 2 miners on gold and buy a SwordWrath and another miner. Just in case have the 200 gold left over handy. When your miner loads and you see no units at the center, buy another miner. Keep your SwordWrath there.

If you: See another SwordWrath. Well, by then my Spearton should be half loaded so I call the SwordWrath back to base (or close to base in long maps) and attack when Spearton loads. All right! Assuming your opponent's units are dead, attack his miners. If they have castle archer, no problem. Wait until your Spearton is half dead or when his miners garrison and retreat. Your opponent, if he catches on quickly, will buy a Spearton of his own so you'll be at a disadvantage. Which is why you want to buy another Spearton BEFORE this.

With immediate Spearton Rushers: Spam, spam, and keep spamming SwordWrath. Chances are your opponent will want to build his economy after the first huge spend so he will have all miners. Attack! He will have no defense.

Okay, now assuming you have successfully captured the middle. Keep attacking your opponent's miners if you see he has no defense. This is CRUCIAL to prevent him from building Giants. At the meantime, build your own Giant. Now, you may ask,"But what if he has walls and 3 castle archers?"

Well, I'm going to break it to you. If you gave him enough time to build that, then you should probably quit and you have ADHD because you do not pay attention to what he's doing. 3 castle archers and 2 walls cost 300+400+500+100+200+200= (wait let me get my calculator. LOL just kidding I'm very good at math) 1700 gold. That costs MORE than a Giant and if you let him build that then you suck. ATTACK HIS MINERS!!!

Keep in mind that you want to stay close to his base, not in range of castle archers. Keep one man at the Obelisk so your Ghost is loading. By now you should have 2 Giants. If you see he has no Giants, buy Archidon. Archidon have the farthest range, and this is the best way to kill miners without having to suffer the castle archers. Place them JUST far enough to not be affected by castle archers.

So, your opponent should have virtually no army and he will PROBABLY have 3 castle archers. Kill whatever he has with Giants and attack his miners. The Giants will survive best. When they are at about 3/4 health call them back to heal with the Merics. I'm not getting into specifics here.

The strategy of the game is NOT to kill your opponent's army. No, it's to prevent him from BUILDING an army. Keep pressuring him and stay close. Your opponent will probably get desperate and build Miner Walls and 3 Castle Archers. Well, here's the time to spam Giants. If it works, why not use it? Also, you have virtually already defeated his army so your opponent can't call you a spammer, since you defeated him with other things.

Summary: Keep pressuring opponent while you slowly build your economy. Prevent him from building any resistance.

I know most of the players I'm playing currently on this account are 1700 or less, but on other accounts it has been higher. Do this, and you will win. Basically, 9 of the 11 games I played so far, my opponent had no army at all except a few SwordWrath and 3 castle archers.

And congratulations WyzDM for getting 1st place! Finally got rid of CaptainCorps2 who refused to play on that account...

Lol tl;dr
BUt I read the start, and that doesn't really make sense. So, you buy 1 sword 1 miner, with 200 left. Do you set the third on mana or gold? Either way, you probably couldn't get a spearton loaded by the time your sword reaches the middle and the opponent sends something too.

Okay, I'll go over this exactly. If you see ...

A Spearton: Buy 2 miners, put one on mana, one on gold

1 SwordWrath: Call it back, and wait for Spearton to load. Buy a Spearton as soon as you can AFTER you have 4 miners

2-3 SwordWrath: Same thing. Keep buying Spearton, and if your opponent spams SwordWrath, then buy a castle archer. PLEASE, only as a last resort as you really want the offensive position.

It's ok, but if you see a spearton with your one swordwrath, he might attack. And if he attacks, you will be at a disadvantage.
And also, if the opponent has archidon with swordwrath, you're pretty much screwed with the 4 miners and 1 swordwrath you have.

All right, I'm getting very agitated because some people don't BOTHER to read. Have a Spearton of your OWN LOADING BY THE TIME YOUR SWORDWRATH IS DEAD. Beginning strategies. DONT BUY ANY MORE MINERS UNTIL YOU HAVE GOOD OFFENSIVE TEAM.

Sigh please post a replay. I don't understand how 4 miners could get a spearton early, because you have 200 gold, right? 1 on mana, 3 on gold. 3 x75 = 225 gold. 225 gold plus 200 gold is 425 gold. So you would need 25 five gold, this waiting a bit for a miner to mine 75 gold.

Well, assuming that your opponent has bought a Spearton, your SwordWrath would collect 40 gold at the center. Also, the time would allow for another delivery of gold. As for SwordWrath, the extra time is okay since your SwordWrath can defeat the other one. Well at least mine can since I maneuver it so it gets the first shot in.

Before I begin, I came here because I immediately had a problem with the title. This is nothing against you, but there is no such thing as a fool-proof strategy. Anything can, and will, be countered even if used correctly. I was going to say this, but I figured I would disect your post and examine each part not to tear you up, but build you, and prevent me from judging a forum post by its topic (bad pun, excuse me).

Defense will earn you nothing. Offense gives you the element of surprise and surpression.
This is I am in favor of, but there are some defensive strategies as well. On larger maps, if you rush in with an army, and your opponent has taken the time to build an economy, you may run into some bad luck either then or down the road.

For Order: Put your 2 miners on gold and buy a SwordWrath and another miner. Just in case have the 200 gold left over handy. When your miner loads and you see no units at the center, buy another miner. Keep your SwordWrath there.

This I have no problem with and is legitimate.

If you: See another SwordWrath. Well, by then my Spearton should be half loaded so I -

Stop. You assume far too much already. On any short map, if he charges, this nulls the idea of ever making enough mana/gold at this time to produce a spearton. Given Green Hills, maybe, but too much is already taken for granted.

With immediate Spearton Rushers: Spam, spam, and keep spamming SwordWrath. Chances are your opponent will want to build his economy after the first huge spend so he will have all miners. Attack! He will have no defense.

This is the best idea, there's more to it in terms of control and how he maneuvers/what he targets but here you have established a safe counter.

Okay, now assuming you have successfully captured the middle.

I'll take this in as "If you control middle" because even with a spearton rush he may keep good control of it for some time. Anyway, when it's forked over...

...Keep attacking your opponent's miners if you see he has no defense. This is CRUCIAL to prevent him from building Giants.
Even early in the game, if he has units, you could be sacrificing a lot of health/units for vain efforts in harassing his economy. Miners are faster now, and if flicks the retaliate switch for em, it wouldn't be a good idea. You've missed here how you should be attacking and with what, and a lot is left to imagination. [/QUOTE]

At the meantime, build your own Giant.

Are we now mid-game? Building a giant is a huge decision: the giant takes ages to queue, you must have a supportive army or the economy to build such. Regardless, let's continue.

I'll absorb this without the sass and text lingo as "Don't let him build so many defenses if you can pay for units to attack with before he has a chance." Wise advice.

Keep in mind that you want to stay close to his base, not in range of castle archers. Keep one man at the Obelisk so your Ghost is loading. By now you should have 2 Giants.

That is if he never harassed you the same way. If he never laid an assault on your economy. If your existing army is powerful enough to hold the tower. If you managed to assault his miners. If you produced a better starting army to counter his start. Too many hypothetical situations. But it all boils down to....

The strategy of the game is NOT to kill your opponent's army. No, it's to prevent him from BUILDING an army.

You mean to say THIS strategy. You attack his economy. Fair enough. What if he plans to turtle? What if in the time you were queuing an early giant, he assaulted your army? Or worse, your exposed base? You would be on the other end. There is a lot more that plays out while all this goes on. When you start playing against more players with different techniques you'll understand not everyone can be taken for granted. Sure you'll come up with a "good start," a basic start game that is versatile for situations, but that's exactly my point. You MUST remain adaptive if you focus too much on control of the tower, too much on his base, and follow this plan to the letter every game, sometimes, it will let you down. And you own't know why until you realize your opponent understood this was what you were doing all along.

And congratulations WyzDM for getting 1st place!

Thanks! :D

I'm pretty sure if you somehow got 80 swords with rage, you would rape everything unless they had miner walls. You could run straight to the statue and rage and it would crumble like instantly.

Yes, the title is more to catch attention than to provide any actual information. And on maps such as Castle, buying Archidon to limit numbers is useful.

As you are taking control, buy Miners along the way. Before buying a Giant, make sure you have enough protection to fend off any attackers.

This strategy works 3/5 of the time, based on the skill of your opponents. Of course, since this is a new account, it works 9/10 of the time.

If youve got 80 swords versus 2 walls and 3 archers, first send 20 out to destroy the walls, then send the rest to rape the statue. No need to sacrifice all of the swwords at once.

"Playing the game right" means winning. The only reason people are upset about it is because they are losing to turtling. So obviously, Jay is upset about it because many players are losing to it.

Honestly, I don't see the problem with losing a game to an annoying strategy. If you can't defeat it, and many others can't defeat it, then why not use it yourself? And when YOU get defeated when using it, then use your opponent's strategy. It's a cycle of borrowing and using strategies.

The fact that you allowed them to turtle is a sign of weakness. Now the 3 Castle Archers are 1900, so it's 2400 is 2 Walls.

Also, I watched your video, and I must ask why you had so many Eclipsors (which is not actually a word so it's spelled wrong). So many Eclipsors could die from boulders. I know you were canceling animation, but your opponent could have build more Giants and killed them. Or gotten closer and gone on the offensive.

Building a Giant. Yes, building a Giant is a big decision. But, this is ONLY in 2 cases.

A. Your opponent's army, if he has one, is weaker than yours

B. You have enough money to build Giants and other units simultaneously

In case A, your opponent won't attack, nor will he try to scout to see what you're doing. Since his army is weaker, he will wait.

In case B, you can have both loading, so you won't really fall behind strength-wise.

Well, the main point is to:

Don't focus on defeated your opponent's army or making your army stronger than his. Prevent him from BUILDING an army in the first place. Somebody copied this from me, I don't know who.
