Edward0:
I just started working out again about two months ago and I had already done 3 of these before my brother started recording. This was my very last exercise in a nearly two hour-long workout. I was pretty tired as you can tell by my form starting to fall apart. Also, this was my first time trying this particular type of push up.

What kind of push-up are you doing?

OGrilla2
05-29-2008, 05:00 PM
They're triceps push ups. You put the knuckles of your fists on the ground, right behind your armpits and look straight ahead. Lift yourself up fully and then back to the ground in a slow, controlled manner. Like I said, I lost form due to the fatigue from my other workouts, so I did them more quickly and sloppily than I had wanted to. :/

wtf...

@ Ogrilla: What other stuff do you do when you excersise?

OGrilla2
05-29-2008, 05:44 PM
I do

- crunches with my arms at full length behind my head
- curl (both biceps and forearms)
- do lunges with weight
- jump rope
- squat(low weight, high reps)
- shoulder shrugs
- several other types of push ups
- pull ups underhanded with a close grip
- back extensions with weight

And I believe that's it. I obviously don't do them all every day, though. I switch it up to keep my muscles working every time I exercise.

With the Chin ups, you only actually finished 3 of them >_>, also if you want to do better ab stuff, cross your arms over your chest, and bend up to where your elbows a locked between your legs and your pelvis. Knees at 90 degrees. Also those pushup, weren't really true triceps push ups. Just have your hands right next to you and go down to 90 degrees.

Umm, I'm the one with the chin and you only saw the back of my head. I did finish all five of them.

Those crunches actually give a better workout. I did them the way you described for several years, but now that I do them this way, I feel a much better burn and the results show its effectiveness.

True triceps push ups? They're push ups that work your triceps. I couldn't care less if going down all the way or stopping at 90 degrees means it deserves a different name.

@tention and Karthago:

Why are you even posting in this thread? I don't give a shit what you think. I wanted to post some videos of myself working out. Why is it stupid to do so?

@Chimaera:

Fuck yeah!

Actually, I've only been working out for about two months, if that. I'm really not in shape yet. In another month, however, I think I'll be ready to accept your challenge.

Truely a masterpiece in artistic creations.

Tentionmaru

it's stupid because this isn't art. it's just for the lose.

I'm just curious, why did you post this in Art? I think it belongs more in Main or LoTD. And nice workout, although you look like you don't do it very often.

Maybe he thought it relates to master piece, or because of the work he put in...um...well............eh, good enough.

OGrilla2

I am the work of art.

Just kidding. I thought it would be funny to put it here, and since it hasn't been moved yet(hope I didn't trigger a mod's searchbot), I assume the mods think it's funny, as well. Especially since Mantha was the first to post. :/

Anyway, thanks, Lone Wolf. I've been doing it very infrequently for about a month, so you're right. About three months ago, I was way out of shape, but now I'm starting to get back into and and for the past week, I've been devoting even more time into working out. I'm mainly doing this for archival reasons for my own sake, but also to show off for the hell of it. I know I'm not that strong or good-looking, but I've talked quite a bit about my body in the past and I figured "why not show the forum". I'm going to make a new video every month for each exercise and keep them in a folder so I can see my progress and maybe show it off to everyone else.

6 pull ups?

Pathetic, really.

Yep, I'm 15 and I can do 20. I can also do 60 press ups. :P

OGrilla2

I can do 15 underhand pull ups, but those wide-grip, overhand pull ups are pretty tough. Also, the skinnier you are, the easier it is to lift your body weight.

Excuses aside, I know I'm not in shape yet. I haven't been working out for very long and I'm glad I can do as many as I can.

..why is this in the art section?
working out isnt really an art, its a..hobby?
But the best way of getting abs is by laughing just to tell you, in 4th grade my friend like tickled me like hell randomly in class to get me in trouble, but after a while i suddenly got six packs :O i never work out unless i can't fall asleep.

actually working out sucks, find a better way of getting muscles that's actually fun.

I love working out. It feels good and I like pushing myself to get that last rep when I feel like I'm about to collapse. When I do get it, it's a great feeling of triumph to me. Also, after a good hour or two of working out, I like the tightness I feel in my muscles and my skin. I think Arnold can explain it better than I can, though.
