This is a guide that will teach you how to win a round (or at least start one off) with the Order Empire.
Please send in any opinions and strategies, because any good guide should be constantly updated!

BTW, make sure you know how to play the basics first.

Spearton Wall Strategy, works up to the 1300s
So, let's assume you're a guy starting off with 2 miners. Get them to the gold mines. Make two more miners and one swordwrath. The swordwrath will prevent any spammers from messing up your production. Have one miner praying. You should have 225 gold around now. Just wait a few seconds. Once you have enough, get the castle archer. Wait some more and get the miner hustle ability. Keep making more miners until you have around 10. If anyone tries to rush you at this point, garrison your miners and let your soldiers take out the swordwrath and the archers.
When you have a good flow of gold and mana coming in, have three miners praying and the rest mining. Get the Magikill Wall ability, and maybe the poison spell. Start making Speartons. Make a Magikill as well. Make a few Archidons.
Now, you should have around 15 Speartons, 3 Archidons, and 1 Magikill. Send your army. The Speartons will hit the enemy and create a "wall". This makes it easy for Magikill to target your melee enemies. Once the Magikill arrives, use the Magikill Wall right where the enemy's units are most dense. Keep spamming explosions and walls. If there is a giant, use your poison. Let your Speartons do the damage, but keep the Magikill to loosen up the enemy.
Remember: Focus on production first, then your army. Your production fuels your army, so bigger production = bigger army.
Recap:
Step 1: Get 2 miners and one Swordwrath. Get them mining, except keep one praying.
Step 2: Get a Castle Archer.
Step 3: Make 6 more miners.
Step 4: Have 3 miners praying and the rest mining.
Step 5: Get the Magikill Wall.
Step 6: Get the Poison. (optional)
Step 7: Make a ton of Speartons, a few Archidons, and one Magikill.
Step 8: Attack. Once your Magikill arrives, use its spells.

Unit Guide
This is a section that will tell you how to kill units and what their weaknesses are.

Swordwrath - Swordwrath are very easy to kill, unless they're in groups. Individual Swordwrath can be easily killed with an archer. If you encounter them in groups, give your archer a Spearton buddy.
Swordwrath are weak, unless they're in groups. You can replace Speartons with Swordwrath in your army, if you're low on gold. Use them with Archidons.

Archidon - Archidons are usually seen with other units. This is a good combination, so be careful. Kill the Archidons first, and then finish off the others. The other soldiers are likely meat shields for the archers.
Use Archidon with Speartons. The Speartons act as shields and the Archidons provide an extra punch.

Spearton - Speartons are fearsome soldiers, but are slightly expensive. This is good, because then they're usually in groups of 1-4. Kill them with other Speartons, mixed with archers. If you encounter numbers of around 8, counter with your own Speartons. Get a Magikill. Once the two armies hit, use the Magikill Wall ability to break up the front. The enemy will be weakened, and so your Speartons will crash through.
Speartons are essential for any army. Have the majority of your army Speartons. They are spectacular with Magikill, because they make it easy to target enemy units and have high health. The health gives time for the Magikill to arrive.

Shadowrath- Shadowrath are fast and damaging soldiers, but are as expensive as Speartons and have low health. Thus, not many players use them. If you do encounter them, spam your Swordwraths. Don't use any expensive units, because Shadowrath are born to assassinate. Use cheap units.
Shadowrath are used to hit once and kill. Don't use them to make up most of your army. Use them to assassinate any important units, like Magikill.

Magikill- Magikill are rare, due to their expense. Many newbies don't realize how to use the spells. Toss your Swordwrath at them, with Archidons. However, if you encounter those who use spells, use your Shadowrath to assassinate them before the Electric Wall ability is used.
Magikill can pretty much devastate any unit. Use them to break up Spearton walls, use them to cut through Swordwrath, use them to strike at Archidons...

Allbowtross - Allbowtrosses are annoying, because they're in the air. Kill them first with your Archidons, then destroy the rest.
Use Allbowtrosses when attacking huge armies of melee soldiers. I personally don't prefer them, but they're good against Swordwrath.

Meric - Merics are weak units that are only to heal soldiers. Kill them with any unit in your army, but in small groups.
Always have a few Merics in your army, especially if you have Giants. When your army is resting, Merics can boost your army just enough for the win.

Giant - Giants are the most dreaded units on the battlefield. Use your Shadowrath. Move them back and forth around the giant. The giant is slow, so it will miss your Shadowrath. Or you could just spam it with Speartons, I don't know...
Use Giants as tanks. They have incredible health and are great for guarding other units, or at least redirecting some of the damage.

* Advanced Giant fighting, credit to Borisov.
If you encounter groups of Giants, use Magikill spells to poison them. If there are Merics standing by, kill them with Shadowrath before the Giants notice. You can use Swordwrath, as they deal cheap but high damage. Speartons can be used for backup. Do not use Allbowtrosses against Giants, as they are as expensive as a Spearton, yet as vulnerable as any other Archidon. Also, don't use Giants against Giants, because then the only advantage you'd have is other units and whether or not you got the Giant health upgrade. Though Giants are ranged, don't kill them first. Kill their backup, then destroy the Giants.

Be sure to kill ranged units first, and melee units second. Guard your ranged units with others.
Also, if you are desperate, there's always the miners. Miners can attack, and if you follow this guide and have plenty of miners, focusing them all on one soldier at a time can cause some damage. It may also encourage retreat.

Please test this and post a replay! You will be hugged!

Indeed, an electric wall can cut through still units like butter, I was facing someone (can't remember who) and my ghost saw a magikill, so I got cure. Next ghost, I attacked with my full army but his magikill poisoned more units than my 2 merics could handle and he spear rushed one of them, so one meric and I lost all my albows and archers (from earlier in the game) to the poison leaving me with speartons and 2 giants. I eventually lost after that crippling blow.

magikill can be especially sneaky when the opponent has units bunched together behind a miner wall, they might not have as much range compared to other ranged units but they are the only ranged unit on order any ways that can strike past units without having to move closer im, they can strike with a electric wall behind the enemys miner wall and kill off any albows and basic units, and do big damage to other units, though faster units may be able to escape in time by the time the oppponent notices it

I disagree to the point about countering Speartons with Speartons+Archers. A single Spearton will sneak behind your line and will force your archers to retreat. Also, archers deal little damage to the armor of the Speartons. The bash is some possibility for stopping the enemy, but still... others, comments?

ever heard about kiting? even forcing the archers to "retreat" doesnt really inhibit you.

I guess it is a question of which stage of the game it is and micro. I meant a situation a bit latter than the early part when you can play hide and seek.

It doesnt matter what the situation is. Whether or not you chase with the speartons your still facing constant damage from thea archers. If you do chase with one spearton, im still doing the same amount of damage to you as if you were chasing withh all of your speartons or none at all.

first of all, try to out-combat your enemy before that point. If he is going early for giants then this is the easiest. If not, you should have somewhat comparable army if you want to win (as always).

Besides those points, tactics/units mix can do much.

Magikill is the most important unit in this situation. The giants are big and slow, eventually they move in a group, they are expensive and slow to build - perfect target for magikill spells. Their long life will be against them if you cast them poison and they don't have cure/marics (use shadowraths about this).

Otherwise, their second weakness is their single-unit-attack. The units you can use are:

I guess the best is the swordwrath, because of its high damage/cheap price. Also, the giant's stun is useless against these cheap units. Put a few speartons, just in case - they are alright for giants as well.

Units not to use:
The allbowtrosses are not so good, because the giants can get them and they are vulnerable. Archers are not so good, but may help. Giants against giants is not an option in my opinion, because... then the opponent has the same, your chances depend purely on micro+economy.

Don't forget - if they have archers/merics/magikills behind them, try 1-2 shadowraths with shinobi to assassinate them. The expensive giants will be much worse without the support.

guess that run-around tactics won't work on several giants?

What do others think?

6-7 alba can easily kill a giant. Use another giant to cover your archers. And besides that I have no other arguments; it's decent.
