    [SPAC] Hot Steel! (Completed!)

    FINISHED

Yeah, I didn't spend much time on the name, nor am I going to be able to spend much time animating it. When I wake up in the morning I'm going to have fourteen days to finish this, and I think I can do it just in time so I'm gonna go for it! Since the theme is Old and New, and it took me a few weeks to decide whether or not I was going to try this and to come up with a theme, I decided to go with the age old gun vs sword type of animation. I think Exceld is doing the same thing, now that I think about it, lol.

12/3/2016 - Ten seconds of animation at roughly 90% completion. Just have to draw two or three simple backgrounds and animate them. Storyboarded the next couple of scenes to animate and finish off in the morning.
12/4/2016 - Twelve seconds of animation that isn't as complete as the first bit. I've been working on one sequence for hours, but it's looking solid. Should break the 15-18 second point tomorrow, unless I come up with another cool idea.
12/5/2016 - Fourteen seconds of animation, still roughly 90%~ complete. Story-boarded a ton, so the next few scenes should be fairly quick.
12/6/2016 - 21.5 Seconds in with the next couple of scenes story-boarded. I've been doing good at keeping up with sounds and backgrounds, so everything I have now is roughly 95% complete. The next couple of scenes should still be relatively quick, hopefully I can make it to 32 seconds tomorrow, where things are going to get very quick before they get chaotic again
12/7/2016 - 31.7 Seconds in. Maintaining backgrounds and finished animation all the way through. I still need to add sound effects for the last scene or two, but it's nothing too crazy. The next couple of scenes should animate quickly for about 10 seconds, and then the truly epic shit is gonna start. I need to story-board lol
12/8/2016 - 35 Seconds. Spent way too long on some fire effect thing earlier. I storyboarded a little bit but due to pacing with the song I might have to cut some out of it, that and I don't want to add too much gore and get rejected or anything lol. It's hard to have something as crazy as this purple guy and not let him eat people
Here are some cool things to look at.
12/9/2016 - 38 Seconds. Not much progress, but tomorrow is my day off so I'll have the whole day to work with this. Shooting for more than 45 seconds tomorrow, which would put me halfway there with one week left!
12/10/2016 - 42.2 Seconds. Watched a ton of anime today Just got to second best parts in the song, so things are really going to pick up. I've got a ton of fbf animation to do!
12/12/2016 - Practically took yesterday off to clear my mind. I'm at 47 seconds now but I need to go back and adjust some things. Overall still around 85% complete with what I've got so far so it's not that much. I expect to make some solid progress over the next couple of days!
12/13/2016 - 50 Seconds of the main animation complete, 10~ seconds of the introduction complete. The introduction is almost finished and will probably be around 15-20 seconds when it is done. I'll probably do the outro tomorrow as well in between actually animating the main animation, which has roughly 32~ seconds left to be animated. Holy shit lol.
12/17/2016 - Spent the last few days killing this beast. With about three and a half hours remaining, I'm calling it quits! This baby is 100% complete!

    Spoiler for Fun things:

Arch, is the animation segment that you showcased part of your storyboard or is it just the keyframes/in-betweens?

storyboard. I'm animating it now lol. I have a bit more story-boarded, but I'll have to see if I can make it that far tonight. I'm shooting for 15~ seconds.

Didn't make it as far as I was hoping, but I'm quite satisfied with what I have now. The scene is pretty much done, I have to animate the red guy's movements a bit more and do the exit transition as well as add sounds and I'll be done with this scene. The next scene is going to be pretty intense as well, but I won't be animating 5 dude's fbf at once lol

edit: Fuck it, I just added the sound and it is even more amazing. One less thing to do tomorrow ~♥
