Superb Melee Combatant:
Having travelled the world and seen many martial arts born, live on, or die, Abbas took the time (he had plenty of it) to learn the ones he found the most admirable and flowing in their fighting style. For this, he had masters teach him the ways of Hei Hu Quan (Black Tiger Fist), Judo, and Taekwondo. He’s practiced these for thousands of years, and is proficient in every single one.
for In Depth
- The Black Tiger Fist Style, a form of Shaolin Kung Fu, focuses on wide stances, acrobatic kicks, and quick footwork. When using techniques in this stance, Abbas focuses mainly on defense, meeting forceful attacks with equal or more force, intending to counter the opponent’s strikes and hurt them in the process. (F.E. a kick would be met with a kick, intending to deflect the blow and possibly break his opponent’s leg)
- Judo, a Japanese combat form, focuses on pinning or throwing the opponent. This style is a key component in Abbas’ defensive stance or when he wishes to incapacitate his opponent. Such ways of doing so are either through a pin, choke hold, or throwing them away from himself.
- Taekwondo is a Korean martial art that focuses on head-height kicks, spinning kicks, quick footwork, and fast strikes. Abbas is exceptional in all four of those categories, possessing amazing light-footedness and speed in his attacks. This is his primary offensive combat style, and usually uses it for either starting an attack or finishing a combo.
Abbas is an experienced equestrian, that is, horseback riding and combat. His horse, whom he dubbed Jabbar (Arabic - Mighty), is a taller than average cream colored stallion, standing around eighteen hands (six feet) at the shoulder, and his head is about seven and a half feet off the ground, making him appear more like a draft horse than anything else. His mane is a thick, smooth black color and falls loose over his neck.
Like his master, Jabbar is also immortal, granted by the God of War to Abbas after an intense battle which left the horse gravely wounded. Abbas asked for the God to heal his steed, and he obliged, making the massive animal undying by age, sickness, or any other natural means.
Al has travelled the world, fought in many battles, and seen many different types of weapons used in said battles. However, through the years, the Immortal has taken a liking to two arms, the Japanese Bō Staff, and the Middle Eastern Scimitar.
His staff weighs a little under seven pounds, and is a fair amount longer than six feet, around seventy five inches. His scimitar weighs about five pounds, is around four feet long (from the hilt to the tip of the blade), four inches across the flat of the blade at its widest point, and two at its least.
He owns two of these weapons, and keeps them together in one sheath to try and deceive his opponents into thinking he only possesses one. His skill with these weapons is unequal... He thinks, and will not know until he has proven himself in the ranks of the RHG...
However, the Arabian does not limit himself to melee combat. For range, or when he rides on horseback, Abbas uses a primitive, yet effective, wooden recurve bow which he fires arrows from with an eighty pound draw, efficiently firing 50 yards (when aimed straight forward) to 130 yards (when aimed high)
Millenia of Combat Experience:
Having lived for 5000 friggin' years, Abbas is most definitely the most well-versed and experienced combatant the world has ever known. He knows more about the art of combat than you ever will, or your grand-kids, or kids' grand-kids. No joke, you are not beating this guy in tactics, he just knows too much to be outsmarted in that category.
