How to capture video from DVDs

I see all of these YouTube videos of scenes from movies, but what kind of program is used to capture the video?

Do you know of any free programs for download?

Or you could use ImgBurn to rip the ISO from it, extract the .iso using winrar, and editing the movie and taking your clip.

Or use a video capture card, and put your DVD into your DVD player, and use the capture card to record what you want.

Unless you are a torrent scene ripper of some kind I dont see why you would want to do this, just pirate the movie in its video format and cut it from there.

just use a video editing program, like sony vegas, or a free one. just cut the clip out you want, save and upload it. that's how i does it.
from a dvd, just rip it to an avi. if you don't know how to do this, ****ing google it, dipshit.
