    I suggest the Warriors series, which is my fave books of all time.
    It sounds weird, but its about clans of cats that live in the wild under a set of laws, called The Warrior Code.

    Its violent and gory though, and I wouldn't give the books to a young kid.

    Yeah, I loved those books when I read them a couple of years ago.

    The Redwall series by Brian Jaques. Thirteen books so far. It's ongoing.
    Of course, Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan.
    Then the sequel, Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan.
    Also, the third book, Titan's Curse, by Rick Riordan. This series is ongoing too.

    There pretty easy reads but they're very good...
    If you into English classics, The once and future king...1-4...the king arthur stories...The Da Vinci code if your not too religious...they're are so many...
