Um I'm not exactly sure what the policies are with stickpage and copyrighted music, but as far as I know, they don't really care what you use, even if you DON'T give credit. However, I personally would recommend using songs free of copyright, as far as YouTube is concerned at least. Mostly because you might want to upload this to YouTube yourself (2 days after it's release on stickpage as the competition's rules), and if there's a copyright on the video, you won't make any ad revenue from it. and if there's HEAVY copyrights on it, Stickpage might not even be able to upload it to stickpage's YouTube, as YouTube can completely remove certain videos depending on the level of copyright on the song used. so try to have the lowest level of copyright you can, none preffered. As for giving credit, i HIGHLY recommend you do, not that you HAVE to, because honestly you don't, but you have no idea how annoying it is on both sides when someone doesn't credit the song in their animation. you got the fans bothering you asking about what song you used, and if you ARE a fan and somebody didn't credit a song, You'll have to ask the creator in a comment or something and wait for him/her to answer, instead of just having to look in the credits.

tl;dr
try to use songs free of copyright, or with only small amounts of copyright, although not entirely required, and definitely credit the song, as it's just really annoying when people don't.

So... am i still able to submit my video after duedate and get a penalty score without asking or i need to ask Jeff first? ( or if not then i submit after duedate,am i automaticly disqualified?? ). This is important because i definitely will late for submit it, Collage really a heavy thing (i'm now a collage student). But still i hope i can complete it on time.

Whew, it's been longer than I thought since I combed this thread last. I have updated the main post with everyone who's announced or posted a WIP thread so far!

There is just over 5 days left and the first submissions have started coming in! How's everyone feeling so far?

Welp, I might be a day late. Sadly yes, there's a deduction. But it's better than not passing at all.
Still around 50-70% and school is... yeah...

Still hoping... still hoping...
