So, I've been inspired recently to want to swap playlists with folks, as well as having noticed that the music thread has been lost somewhere.

Generally speaking, because of the length of playlists, I'd like to limit this to about 15 average length songs, one 1 hr of time, per playlist. Now, if you just happen to looooooovvvveeee some longer playlist, break it up into to parts, that way people have manageable things to try to listen to at a whack. Also, please post at least 100 words about the playlist that was posted before you (relevant words, that is).

With that said, I'd like to start by tossing in a link to my current fav playlist:

Waking Aida - Full Heal

My favorite one is the longest track in the album: Exploding Palm. From the title, I can only imagine it's the life and times of a martial arts student or something. It starts all upbeat and lively, and it goes through what I can only explain as a maturity trip. Track gets to enjoy the time of his life, exploring things. It dips a little but it only invites an even more powerful following after. Then suddenly. Around the 3rd minute, it just plunges into this serene ambiance. Like, the battle's over. One minute later, it starts lingering into a pondering philosophical mess, as the warrior comes to terms with the power he holds and what he's done. Then in the final minute it crescendos into a complete understanding of who he is and it ends ambiguously. It's such a ride.

{I was referring, if you read carefully, not to your own playlist, but the ONE BEFORE YOU. Following the pattern of the old music thread, I figured it would be nice to let others know that someone actually listened to theirs.

But what the heck. That's not a huge deal -- this is about the music. Still, sometimes I wonder if people read...}

I actually assumed that this was just going to be another music share thread. I've tried many times to make something like this but the interest is just not there.

I'll write something for yours...if you write something for mine how's that

Yeah, I've kinda noticed as soon as you indicate that people should actually put a little effort into showing others they care (in cases like this), you're thread's potential audience shrinks to nil...come to think of it, I believe it was one of your threads that I got this idea from. But yeah, that's a deal. My next post will be in context of your playlist.

EDIT:

Well, since I'm first back, I'll write an Edit instead.

Hew, I honestly rather like that album. The music is kinda this odd fusion of new-age easy-listening and pumping electric -- a cool combination, in my opinion. I honestly don't listen to tons of electric/synth style music because it tends to be too heavy for my taste in instrumental. This album, though, was a well-balance combination, and probably the sort of thing I'll actually listen to multiple times and remember.

My favorite song was the one called...Blue Shelled?...because I liked the hints of "island" style rhythm in there that gave it a nice upbeat feel. Exploding Palm was certainly great as well, but Full Heal won out over Exploding Palm for me -- felt more...idk, "reflective" to me I guess.
