If anyone here is a pc gamer (IE: Valve fanboys), what is the difference better, or worse, playing pc games compares to consoles?

Agreed. That's why I never play pc games. I have a lot of friends who have a 700 bucks comp, but they wanted to play gothic 3 or some other game, and had to upgrade there whole pc which cost about 60-200 bucks more. but yea its forever once you do it.

But lags, everything etc meh. I love consoles, because you don't need any free space, no lag, no requirements, fluid gameplay etc.

I played a few pc games and it was fun, but like online games. Or black and white and some, its fun but I love the console for the reasons I stated above

not every pc gamer is a valve fanboy.. theres more of a pc game library outside what valve has made.

whats better is mods, you can't modify the game on your console.
thats one of the main reasons.

take oblivion for example. hell of a lot better with mods.

Well, as a PC gamer, you can mod and shit. There's Crysis, and uh, I dunno.

I'm a Wii gamer, I don't know enough.

I never said all there was were valve fanboys, I am simply using it as an example.
Though, modding is good, its simply too complicated for me.

There are only a few things that separate PCs from Consoles.

Pcs are better for RTSs, FPSs, MMORPGs, puzzle games, Dungeon-Crawling RPGs, and Modification/customization.

Consoles are better for action-adventure titles, hack and slash games, fighters, Sports games, and platformers. Also, most consoles don't require installation, and you can get into a console game from having the machine off faster than a PC, which requires gratuitous amounts of time to boot up.

Modern consoles tend to have harddrives, which takes away one of PC gaming's big advantages, and Online play has become increasingly higher in quality on consoles, and now rivals PC online play.

oh u, i don't mean modding it yourself, i mean downloading mods

like for oblivion, all you do is download the mod and put it in your directory data folder, and thats pretty much it.

There are also the pc excluisves and console exclusives. Some games also come first for the consoles and then for the pc. But, since there are 3 major console brands, there are some exclusives for each console.

Anyways, I like pc better because I'm used to it and couldn't live without RTS games...

Consoles are better for action-adventure titles, hack and slash games, fighters, Sports games, and platformers.

Except fot the fighters, hack and slash and platform games i think the pc is equally good as consoles for action-adventure games and sports games. And you can always buy a console gamepad for pc.

Sup.

I don't like consoles, you can't move as fluidly as you can with a mouse. With a joystick you move kinda robotic like making heavy situations hard to deal with. With mouse movement it's just more accurate and precise.

Err... I hope you are talking about moving around not aiming, because WASD and arrow key movement are far morc confined and robotic than a joystick.

I was talking about aiming. And WASD isn't that robotic.
