Runescape's player base is over 40 million accounts.
World of Warcraft has had about a billion accounts made.
They aren't comparable, though. One is a free, browser-based MMORPG, an the other a monthly subsription, bought-box MMORPG that takes up 10 ****ing gigs of hard memory.
If you want to compare Runescape to something, compare it to other Browser-based MMOs, like Maple Story, Larkinor, and Kingdom of Loathing.
