Abilities:
Being a light and thin, Obelisk has above-average speed and reflexes, to keep up with more super-powered opponents. Not only that, but he can also dash in a direction, becoming intangible during the duration, further enhancing his speed. And intangible means intangible, he cannot be touched by anything whatsoever until he reaches his destination, though he can only go as far as his legs can take him in a single stride. He has near perfect surgical precision and anatomical understanding, enough to sever tendons and damage nerves through the skin in battle, or even take off limbs if there's an opportunity. He also has a mechanical right arm, the forearm being a large syringe. The syringe can be used to drain liquids, and even the life force of his victims, which he feeds on. He can heal minor wounds like this, and given time, he can even fix major ones with a combination of his surgical skills and life-force healing.
Weaknesses:
Besides his above-average speed and reflexes, he can be harmed like a normal man. His mechanical arm does need maintenance if beaten up too much, and can break down if placed under enough pressure. If he runs out of life-force to feed on, he can often begin to wear down, and can be a bit bestial if a source of food can be found, usually his opponent.
About/Story:
Born in Post-Victorian England, Obelisk spent a good portion of his early life dedicated to books, often in the medical field. His parents encouraged this, and he quickly proved to be leaps and bounds ahead of the other children in intelligence. He read every book on medicine he could find, and eventually, began working in alchemy. Then, Obelisk, in his early 30's, had an enormous breakthrough: The secret to immortality. It wasn't perfect, and more or less just allowed a human to extend their life beyond their normal limits and stop the aging process. However, people shunned him, thinking him a madman. For you see, it required killing humans and essentially sucking them dry, adding in a few more ingredients long since believed to be fake, and feeding upon it. While it worked, it slowly drove the good doctor Obelisk mad, making him hunger more and more for the formula. It also took him a while to perfect the serum, as his first few batches caused him to lose his right eye, right arm, (which he quickly replaced with a more effective tool for sucking humans dry for the serum) turn his hair a dusty gray, and mutate his mouth to a grotesque mess of a tongue and teeth. But, he lives on, in spite of his disbelievers. Now, he fights only to feed.
Personality:
A deathly serious man, he's been driven partially insane by his own serum. He speaks to himself often, and unless recently fed, can be found mumbling about just how hungry he his. He rarely speaks to a person as more than food. Obelisk also can be ruthless when it comes to fighting, often ignoring his own body so he can feed. He especially loves to have a taste of his victims, as it gives him an idea of the meal he'll have later.
Appearance:
Around 6'2", his skin is pale and almost ghost-like. His hair is a mess of gray, sloppy hair, and he has bandages covering his mouth, nose and right eye, though removing the bandages reveals a hole where his eye used to be, as well as a melted, blacked jaw, with little but small parts of skin keeping the lower half attached. He wears a white labcoat, which is torn and charred at the end, as well as has the right sleeve ripped off. Obelisk wears no shirt underneath, but he has torn and faded brown jeans. He has no shoes, either. His right shoulder is a large metal arm guard, with 3 pistons used to operate the syringe at the end of the mechanical arm. In between is a mechanical arm with bandages covering most of it, if only to protect it from the elements.

Obelisk opened the door to his home, an abandoned warehouse on the edge of town. He pushed aside the chains and other miscellaneous objects in his path and headed downstairs. Upon slowly climbing down the stairs, he came upon a woman, strapped to a table at a 45 degree angle from the ground. She was awake, her clothes torn, bloody, and she was clearly afraid of Obelisk, confirmed by the loud shriek of terror she greeted him with as he approached.
"Nooo! Get away from me, you monster! Oh, God, help me, please!" She cried out through tears of fear. Obelisk only looked at her as she struggled against her restraints. His one eye searched her up and down for only a moment, before he moved closer, his breath falling upon her. He took his left hand and slowly ran it down her face, before grabbing the bandages around his mouth and pulling them down, revealing his gruesome mouth. She screamed again. "What in God's name happened to your mouth!?" He only uttered a wheezy chuckle, before speaking.
"God had nothing to do with what happened to me. Nor will he do anything with what I'm about to you, my dear." Without a second thought, he bit into her shoulder, drawing blood and tearing flesh. She screamed in pain, causing more tears. Obelisk slinked away, chewing and slurping his meal down. When he was finished, he began to chuckle. "Oh, my dear, you..." He stood up, brandishing the needle on his right arm. "TASTE EXQUISITE!"
