So this is a digitised version of a somewhat easy and light-hearted game I liked to play where you are essentially playing connect 4 but on a non rectangular board and expanding board. By introducing areas that can have multiple placing slots on them on the same column the strategy gets quite a bit more interesting.
This is also a game that will have a huge number of turns, naturally. As this is turn based I will expect each player to make their move by adding to the image and reposting it on the thread. You will not need me to verify each move, if someone makes an illegal move then obviously the game is going to have to halt so I can correct it or sort things out. This means play can happen while I am sleeping or busy.
Also the other fun part of this is that the board can just keep getting taller as play goes on. I will be generating fun new terrain in advance of players being able to reach it as the board is played on. For this reason I won't be playing.
To start playing you must make your first turn by adding your move onto the most recent image of the board. Once we reach several players or new players stop then we will cycle through in the order of joining for the game. You win when you get 4 of your pieces in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal row on the board.
I will expand the board up as needed (obviously) and also out horizontally. It will look somewhat like a V shape as play continues if no one wins quickly.
Legal moves are playing a piece in the same column slot above another piece or onto the first space of the board somewhere. You can only leave vertical gaps between pieces on the board if the board looks something like this where there are multiple valid places to play vertically off.

I've drawn grey lines showing how your pieces fall into valid legal play positions for this example 2 player game. The black background is board floors and pieces can be played atop them.
Let's get started!
Make your move now, choose a distinct counter piece to use with a unique colour (ie cross, circle, square) and hope you don't get ninja'd

Oh and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SAVE THE BOARD AS A PNG NOT AS A JPEG WHEN REUPLOADING - I do not want to see the board get jpeggled.
If someone takes more than 36 hours since the last board update to make their move then the next person in play is allowed to make their move anyway.
