This is another story I have written in my spare time that I think has potential.

Spoiler (Click to Show)
have I created a virtual box then I built inside that box. I created a planet then I carved it until it was my masterpiece. Then I added the trees and plants. Making each individual one by hand. Then I programed in the creatures. I created the strangest ones and I created cutest ones. I was the king in my own world. I built up cities programed people. This was all from scratch I created the program that allowed me to build all this. A pretty impressive feat for a kid. I was seven when I started and it took me three years to create the program to allow me to build in a virtual world and another year to assemble my control setup which is a pair of modified gloves and a biker's helmet modified for virtual reality. I built all that from garbage and salvaged computer parts. Then I spent the next four years building my world and escaping the real world as much as I could. Now I am fifthteen years old and nearly broke. My current plan was to release this as a VR game. I created a new box next to my master piece and created a new world. I created this world for the gamers. When I had gotten to the point I could sell the game I started. I had set up a small server to host my game on. The first person on was my neighbor. I gave him a free copy and asked for his input. Once he got in his voice abandoned him. What I saw as unfinished he saw as flawless. He shared this with his friends and they enjoyed it and they shared it. Next thing you know I have the most popular game around. I didn't mind that everyone enjoyed it. I sold the game at twenty dollars a download and the money rolled in. Then people rushed at me trying to buy my game from me. I would ignore them and continue building up the worlds as more and more people joined. Then I came to the hardware problem. Until this point I had just been adding on to my original computer and changing out old parts for newer ones. Now I needed a full sized server to run the game. So I bought one. I still lived in a shack but I didn't care. Then after making the thirtieth world I made an announcement and made the biggest change to the game I have ever made. At this point the game wasn't like a game it was more like everyone just walks around and builds things. Everyone was a god here then I changed it. I made a level system, a skill system, magic, technology, weapons, monsters, puzzles and Bosses. The level system was there more for show than actual use and it also helped tell someone how much someone else played the game. The skill system was what was important it worked like in real life where the more you use a skill the stronger that skill got. I split all the weapons, tools and means of transport into three categories Normal, Magic and technology. Then I split the worlds into zones where these categories were affected. Like a no magic zone you can't use magic in or a no tech zone. Normal things like guns, swords, horses could be used anywhere but say you tried to fire a laser pistol in a no tech zone it won't fire or if you used a fire sword in a no magic zone well unless the sword was made from non magical fire you were just using a normal sword. But not everything was based around fighting. You could still live a life in the game without a sword. When I reopened the game people rushed back in. Over the next few months people left and others came. I let people play and returned to my masterpiece. I was still in the game yes but this world was locked to everyone but me. Now I am seventeen and still playing my own game. I had done everything possible in my game. I took off my helmet a rare action. I looked at myself. I was not deadly thin but I could see my ribcage under my shirt. Yes a multimillionaire half starved to death. I looked at the helmet and the gloves.

"Ten years my dear friends. One full decade this is a thing isn't it?" I took off my gloves and walked over to my tiny fridge. I opened it and pulled out some leftover sushi from yesterday. Stuffing the remains of the rolls and enari I walked back to my chair. I put on the helmet and looked at my game's main screen a starry sky filled with planets, spaceships and a few magic flying boats. I pressed the login button entering my password in a moment. Then I looked at my save files. My game allowed for three avatars per person. I had my god like character named Piston1937 a name I chose many years ago and two empty slots.

"I wonder what it would be like to start over?" I asked myself. I pressed the second slot. The character creation screen came up. At the sight of this screen my mind started racing. There was the base avatar in the middle of the screen and to either side was screens with customization options. I started modifying and changing my character.

"My right arm cyborg." I muttered to myself. I had made different parts of your avatar do different things if you made them from different things. Such as if you made your arm robotic then that arm would be stronger than normal. I did put a limit as in modification points. You got one hundred of these points and different parts cost different amounts. Like a robotic arm cost twenty five. This made it so no one was completely overpowered. I fidgeted around with different nose sizes, twirling through colors, and even accidently changed it into a girl character but changed it back as soon as I made the mistake. I ended up with a mostly human avatar his right hand and part of his arm was robotic while his left was completely human with a few scars here and there. His left eye was also bionic and had a huge scar going through it as if a claw had cut through it while his right was more or less ok and his eye color I had decided upon taking a paint brush to it and made it green blue with a bit of gold near the pupil. I made the hair pure white and very messy. The rest was human more or less minus some of the genetical and cyborg implants that consumed the few remaining points I had. I didn't do a face because that would be filled in with my own with the facial recognition system. Then it was onto the armour and beginning weapons choice. I knew exactly what I wanted from here I did make it after all. Like in the character creation I had a point limit. But this I had rigged so I could get all the equipment I wanted. Yes I know it is technically cheating but I created the game. I chose a black duster along with a black t-shirt and white shorts. Then from the weapons I chose two shard pistols and a sword. The sword went at my hip so where did the guns go you might be asking? They strapped on my coat. I thought of placing them on my shoulders on either side of my head and in the try out mode it looked cool when I pulled them out but they limited my field of vision. So on the duster they went. Physics does play a part of the game so your weapons don't just appear in your hands when you call them. I still had ten points left so I picked out a special thing. I pulled out another sword from the options this one was special to me. It was the first weapon ever created in the game. I pulled the black sword from its sheath. The blades name was scattered shadow. It was an artifact class weapon. An artifact means that the thing in question has a special power that is randomly generated as well as a story behind it for all the roleplayers out there. It also meant that it was indestructible even to my god character. I would have to go into the servers manually if I wanted to remove one. I returned the sword to its sheath and placed it on my back around the waist. Then after I was sure with my character I pressed the done button. The are you sure message popped up. I pressed yes. Then I started falling toward the World of Beginnings.

"Woo-hoo." I yelled as I fell I had forgotten how fun it was to be free falling. I passed the clouds on the way down and then crashed into the main courtyard. This is where all new players began. I looked around and spotted some new players looking around and even a few high twenty levels. High twenty meant that they placed a good few hours into this game. I walked around looking at everything. It had been a long time since I had been here. A good long time if I am being honest. I walked along the roads looking at the stores where you could buy items, potions, armour and trinkets. Then I walked straight into a gang of new players. The main person who I had bumped into his name was Tyr4n7. Looked at me like I had just insulted him.

"Hey what was that for?" Tyr4n7 drew his sword.

"Clean his newbie clock." one of the gang members screamed at me. I looked at the leader with the look I usually gave when I was a god. The sensors in the VR helmets sense your facial movements and mimic them in the virtual world. I didn't fear him and I made it known.

"Look he doesn't even have a name." Said one named Baller 233. I completely forgot to give this avatar a name. Then a girl stepped in between me and the gang.

"Hey you jackasses scram and stop picking on new people." She drew a void enchanted sword. The blade seemed to suck at everything around it. The gang looked freaked out.

"Shit she found us." Tryr4n7 turned tail and ran. His gang followed in close pursuit. I looked at the girl. Her name tag was hidden so I didn't know her name it showed her level though. She was at level one hundred and twenty three.

"Thanks." I said

"Oh no need I was just in the area." She turned to face me. "So are you a new player or just a character?" She asked sheathing her sword at her side.

"I'm completely new to the game." I lied no point in saying I was the creator of the game. Actually I heard that some players are starting to hate me for not being around all the time and making sure people play by the rules.

"Well you seem to have the basic controls down what setup are you using?" she asked.

"I am using two arm controllers with joysticks and a VR helmet. I have been meaning to get a full rig but can't find the money."

"I know exactly what you mean." She said sympathetically. "I got the basic setup." I studied her movements.

"Well from your movements I'd guess that you are using a ball based rig with a full torso control gauge." I said. She looked a bit taken aback.

"That is exactly correct how did you know?" She was interested in me now.

"Well when you step you need a second to get your balance so I assume you're in a ball base. Then since your legs aren't continuously moving
like they should if you had a full body rig I assume you only have the top half." I said honestly. She looked at me with a newfound respect.

"Wait hold up if you just started the game how do you know all of this?" She asked suspiciously. The correct answer was because I created the game but.

"My brother plays and he is pretty good so he explained it all to me except how to really play. He kept saying that I needed to play the game and learn that way." I lied, I am a horrible liar.

"Well?" She didn't look like she bought it entirely but enough. "I got to go maybe I'll see you around sometime?" She said getting ready to leave.

"Actually I don't have a ride so can you take me to Icoretum?" I was a new player this meant no flying, no spawning in spaceships, no money to buy a space faring vehicle.

"Sure I guess? I parked my ship this way." She pointed behind her and we started off. Her ship was a Viper class fighter parked outside the city wall in a small clearing.

"You know your lucky that I had this ship and not my Wasp. You can take the gunner seat."

"Why what is a wasp?" I knew the difference but in order to keep up the act I asked.

"Oh a wasp is a high tech fighter that is built for speed so only one seat. This has a gunner seat so two can fly in it." I stepped into the gunner's platform and rose into the dome where the gun was controlled from. She climbed into the cockpit and started up the engine. The ship took off without trouble and we exited the atmosphere. I looked out of the glass dome at space around me.

"Wow." I said looking at the black sky dotted with white stars. It was the exact same as it was a decade ago but looking at it now it seemed grander.

"Yep amazing isn't it." She said. I just stared at the sky. "Where did you say you wanted to go?"

"Icoretum." I said, She lay a course and we entered orbit around the frozen world of Icoretum in a few minutes.

"You sure you want to go down there? Icoretum isn't the friendliest planet and you are a new player?"

"I'll be fine." I said looking down.

"If you say so?" We entered the atmosphere and landed on the frozen surface. I stepped out and thanked her. When she had left a snowstorm had picked up. Now time for some dungeon hunting. This frozen world is home to a host of tons of dungeons perfect for leveling up a new character. I looked around for a cave entrance and spotted one almost instantly. I ran for it before the storm picked up too bad. I pulled my guns from their holsters leaving them at my sides. I also turned on the lights from my left eye to light the cave. I took my time walking down the dungeon. When I came to a mob I hid behind a rock and took five shots. Four to lock up its legs and one to hit the central hitbox for a cheat code for an insta kill. I just kept running down the caves killing mob after mob. I loved how smooth I could play my game. I would run down a wall kill a mob jump to the other wall and rinse and repeat. Then I came to the boss room. I kicked in the ice door and looked at the boss. It looked like a bigger version of that star wars creature that would have eaten Luke. I looked around the room looking at the features and seeing what I could use. The room was a circular hole that opened at the surface of the planet. I could use the walls for continuous wall running then if I needed to regen I could run out of reach and heal. With my plan set I went into action. I ran into the room as fast as I could and then ran up the side of the wall. I fired at the boss unleashing a hail of bullets on him while calculating his movement pattern. He just lunged forward at a steady foot a second which is pretty slow for a boss. I remember fighting Avakis my godly pet fire serpent now that was a fast enemy. I continued running rings around the boss. Then when I ran out of ammo I changed tactics to my sword. I holstered my pistols and drew my artifact. Not knowing what type of ability the artifact got and wanting a surprise I didn't check it in my inventory. To my absolute surprise when I drew the sword nothing happened. The sword didn't burst into flames or get coated in ice. It was just a normal sword. I was a bit disappointed but I still needed to kill the boss. I boosted off the wall and flew past the boss. I took a swing at the back of his neck. The blade cut cleanly through the skin, muscle and even the spinal cord. The boss's health bar dropped a full quarter of its health. I braced my legs and landed on the other wall. I launched myself off the wall making another cut this one on its calf. The monster fell losing one of it's legs. It swung its arm barely catching my right foot. I spiraled off course my health bar falling as it calculated the damage and blood loss. I landed on my one foot and jumped back at the monster. I aimed for the throat and hit my target. The monster's head cut cleanly off it's neck as the cut connected with the other cut. Virtual blood splattered everywhere as the monster's severed head fell to the ground. I stood up and tried to sheath the sword so I could look at it's ability in the menu. But it wouldn't go in. I tried to shove it into the sheath but it just wouldn't fit.

"Go in you stupid sword." I shouted at the sword even though I knew it wouldn't do much. Then I slammed the sword into the red snow. The
sword cut through the ground like it was not even there. I watched it for a moment while I tended to my avatars foot. I looked at the thing. It was dislocated and barely attached by a tendon. I was surprised the thing was not lying on the ground far from my body. Then I looked back at the sword. Something caught my eye. The white snow was white. It might not seem odd I mean snow is white but is snow that has been splattered in blood white. I grabbed the blades hilt and tried to sheath it again. The s
