This is a character I have created that will be appearing in my canon frequently, and then by fall-ish time period of this year may (most likely) become my gladiator. I would love to have thoughts, opinions, CnC, mud-slinging, etc. for this char so I can get a feel of what people think.

Name: Cynthia Roseann Glass

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Bisexual

Weight: 115 lbs.

Height: 5 ft. 6 in.

Build: Slender and graceful

Physical Condition: Fit and athletic -- primarily from swimming, running, and biking.

Appearance: A refined and pretty woman, she is a flaxen blond with fine but soft features and eyes the color of Appalachian stream water (amber with tones of faded meadow green). She keeps how long hair loose most of the time, pulling it back into a carefree ponytail when she’s doing sports or painting. Not the most grabbing person in a crowd, perhaps -- more of a subtle beauty. Her taste in clothes is typically a bit more reserved than popular tastes (aka, no shorty-shorts and tight yoga pants), but still up-to-date with styles, and typically a bit playful. Approx. life. In fact, there is nothing truly astonishing about her at all. Her parents died in a car accident during her college years, but her Uncle Robert Townsend -- a bachelor with more money and time than he needs -- has taken good care of her. She’s never been rich -- no one in her family has -- but is comfortably situated in the middle class.

Her life took a bit of a change when she met Altaer, however. He was the rakish personification of rebellion and danger that appealed to that side of her that wanted something...different. Their affair was not to remain successful for long, however, because after only a few months of dating she suffered a fatal accident. Altaer witnessed it, and personally took responsibility for her restoration to health.

Dr. MacBeth has refused to say anything, and Altaer himself is as silent as the grave.

But Cynthia lives.

She just isn't alone anymore.

certainly far more fit than the average person, particularly when it comes to endurance and speed. Due to swimming she is also stronger than she looks. Still, she only does sports on the side -- her trophies are from random competitions and challenges, not organized teams. Aside from her endurance, she is well within the “average” bandwidth on all counts.

Intelligence-wise she’s smart, but no genius. Her creativity is aesthetic. All in all, she’s just another person you would meet from day to day. Above average on some counts, certainly, but nothing that would be considered remarkable -- just the result of practice and diligence.

She has minimal interest in any form of combat whatsoever.

there are no special weaknesses. Being a lighter person, on her own she could be easily overpowered by anyone with more focus on building muscle. Fighting is out of the question, really, except just innate instinct.

tself. Protus identifies as masculine, although what that means for Protus is still a mystery. Protus seems to insinuate that it is the one and only being like itself in existence. He seems to operate and relate to things in an almost digital manner, yet the complexities of his own nature go far beyond this.

It does not possess Cynthia. Protus is not truly “in” Cynthia at all. Protus merely uses Cynthia as his connection with the outside world.

At any given point in time, Cynthia is in control. Protus, however, can take over at any moment. This is where his nature will show through.

What must be said about Protus is that despite its intelligence, it is more monster than man. It’s actions and behavior support this. Protus constantly seeks knowledge, power, territory, and influence. It achieves this by use of its powers: these powers are fueled by its voracious feeding whenever it feels the need. That is the summation of its life. It seems to have some manner of sensing more powerful beings, and actively seeks to find and subjugate them. It has no regard for the idea of “subjects” -- its control is total and complete consumption and isolation of power it itself, nothing more. It allows people to live within its area of control merely because it doesn’t care about them -- they would be destroyed at any moment if Protus had the slightest reason to do so.

y when it comes to interactions. Its nature would do very well inside the Grand Master of the Knight Templars, in other words. That being said, its innate personality is malleable -- Protus is actively working to meld better with the world. What drives it is uncertain -- curiosity seems to be the main factor. That said, its intention to meld with the human world is nothing more than a casual curiosity: the dominant motive behind its life remains its lust for power. Protus seems to be able to sense anomalies in nature, and seeks to find them. By “anomalies” it means anything that is unusual, powerful, remarkable, unique, unnatural, etc. Things that simply do not fit in.

It is petulant and quick to react to perceived wrongs -- whether real or otherwise. It holds Cynthia in an interesting regard. She is nothing more than a tool -- and tool which, with practice, he is quite certain he could replace with any other suitable being. If need be he would totally destroy her to achieve his own ends. He does not, however, because that would be inefficient. At this point, additionally, he has not quite figured out how to obtain new hosts, so he cannot afford to abuse Cynthia. At the same time, he appreciates her good service and tries to help and preserve her wellbeing. That being said, his appreciation is strictly utilitarian.

His general demeanor is, therefore, magnanimous towards her. He will freely converse with her, offer advice, ask questions, etc. He can read her mind, therefore rendering their communication to be purely telepathic (although she still speaks aloud to him sometimes).

[spoiler=Weaknesses]
Body Manipulation:
Protus’s manipulation abilities might be unlimited, but Cynthia still has a normal human body. In other words, the proteins and starches and nutrients required to build/rebuild trillions of cells in a matter of seconds/minutes has to come from somewhere. He has permanently altered Cynthia’s body to naturally store enough to fuel at least one moderate (or multiple small) manipulation(s). Still, anything beyond this requires fuel -- aka, food. For these purposes, Protus will have to adjust Cynthia’s metabolism so that the nutrients are available almost as soon as the food is consumed. The problem is getting the vast amounts of nutrients required. Protus will do whatever is necessary to get enough food -- robbing food marts, eating raw plants, or killing and eating creatures (including humans) raw. If he were to perform a manipulation or regeneration without fuel, the result would be Cynthia’s permanent death (short of outside medical intervention), since her organs would all shut down as her body cannibalized itself. This also includes returning her to her normal human form.

His Mind:
The weaknesses will be in the same order as the corresponding abilities.

---First, Protus’s immunity to mental/emotional attacks does not translate to Cynthia. Thus he might very well find himself at war with someone else for control of his “user interface.” Protus would almost certainly win -- Cynthia’s condition/health, however, is another matter.

---Secondly, obtaining telepathic connections for his hacking isn’t exactly an every-day thing. Doing the physical hacking by making Cynthia capable of tapping into someone’s brain (involving both his mental powers and manipulation of her body) is tasking, as well as time consuming and rather messy. Protus is no fool, and while he doesn’t particularly care about destroying a human life, he is fully aware that acts of brutality often incur anger, which might result in harm to Cynthia and more trouble than he wants.

---Thirdly, Protus IS limited by Cynthia’s senses. No matter how keen he might be, if her senses can’t detect it, he can’t either. His incredible computing abilities might be able to compensate better if they were placed in total darkness, for example, but he would still not be able to see anything.

---Fourthly, Protus can process at computer speeds, but Cynthia’s body is still limited by nerves. He can use body manipulation to give her far faster and stronger reactions, but the fact is that a neural signal only travels so fast from her brain to her muscles.

---Fifthly, Protus can only remember what he has been able to learn. In other words, if Cynthia didn’t read him the Encyclopedia, he wouldn’t be able to recall it. Thus, for many things he is reliant upon her mind for overall knowledge.

---Lastly, there are two controlling factors for “resurrection.” First, Protus cannot reverse brain-death. If Cynthia goes brain-dead, she’s fully dead, and Protus is without a host -- aka, he is essentially non-existent. Secondly, Protus can only resurrect Cynthia if she has enough nutrients in her body to fuel the repairs. In emergencies he could induce a small level of self-cannibalization (the body dissolving its own tissues) in order to repair a more serious wound (say, she takes a survivable headshot, Protus would be willing to dissolve her much of her muscles if it meant repairing her brain)

Update

Thanks for the CnC guys (just so you know I'm not being sarcastic, we spent about an hour or so on this in our Dank Hole chat).

I updated Protus with the edits based off of what you said. Clarifications, mostly.
