Lavernius wiped his mouth with a napkin and placed it carefully over his empty plate, the utensils crossed in the center so that they wouldn't fall out. "I don't know... looked like something from a legend, something that shouldn't exist." He stated, referring to the beast. He listened to Illaya's story with interest and was relieved to hear that it at least ended happily despite how it looked otherwise. He stared at his wine glass again, contemplating taking another sip but there was the fact he had to stay up longer that made him turn away and look at Faye. "I doubt it, if she was annoyed I'm sure it'd have gone down much like this morning. I'm sure she just finds your prying as intrusive, details about one's personal life have to flow out, not forced." Lavernius finally folded, why the hell not, he mentally shrugged as he picked up his goblet and downed the rest of it. The artist put it down with a cough and got up, using his arms as leverage to push himself up and the seat back. "I think I'll be heading back now. I have to freshen up a bit so feel free to drop by a bit later." He stated simply as he picked up his knapsack and began making his way through the crowd, first stopping by Illaya to tell her that he would be in his room before making his way to the stairs. Hopefully he bought himself enough time to send Shizukana a letter. Lavernius wondered why Illaya was talking to the woman who was sitting with Erenzo but pushed the thought away, there he was doing exactly what he had chided Faye for, prying.

He got to his room where he locked the door behind him before placing his bag down by his bed and making his way out to the balcony with his sketchbook and a well of ink. Leaning against the banister like he had done the night before, and staring up at the night sky like he has done as long as he could remember, he wrote his love letter to Shizukana. Telling her about his day and about what he saw, who he talked to, and what he wished he could have shown her. Before ending it with the reminder that he loved her and hoped to see her soon and signing it. Of course this particular day he left out some details, because she didn't need to know his mistakes, that was a secret between him and Illaya. With the letter finished, he casted the needed spell and watched the moth flutter off into the night sky, quickly blending into the pitch blackness of the outside world.

She shrugged, "been fishin' all my life. Worked with a blacksmith for quite some time in the slums and learned a thing or two about working with steel, as well as a few secrets of your trade, if I'm not mistaken." Thalia was babysitting her drink for a moment before continuing, "it must be your freedom, then. Perhaps not to simply walk freely, but true freedom to do as one pleases with the precious time we are afforded by our masters." She lifted her mug to her mouth and didn't stop drinking until it was empty. The empty mug was placed upside down on the counter as she waved at the barmaid to bring her another. "Good luck on your partnership." Thalia gave the woman a pat on the shoulder before standing up with her mug and joining the crowd as they sang and danced along to the music. One song was all she wanted, all she needed. Then she would find Faye to hear the rest of her story as Lavernius showed the two women his drawing. While she loved a good song and dance, it was nothing without the camaraderie of a few good friends.

"Ugh..." Faye winced as in pain at the memory of today's morning, and such expression remained on her face for the whole length of Lavernius' 'preaching'. Once he also left, she just escorted him with her gaze before placing her chin down on table's surface with a deep sigh, as her arms hung limply below it. 'Intrusive', 'Prying', 'Force', 'The Court'... Has her questions been really that annoying? Has She really been so annoying? She was simply curious and mildly confused, that's all. She didn't expect nor demand details about their personal life, having her own to worry about, but apparently that's how it came out...Unfortunate.

"Well, I guess it's just you and me now..." Busy with her thoughts, the girl's gaze has been stuck on the little wooden figurine, right in front of her face. She raised her hand from under the table and once more lazily tipped the mini-Atlas to the side with her finger, before her head tilted to the right to look at the half empty cup. "...And you, even though I really don't like you today..." Faye sighed once more and reluctantly slid her body back off the table, picking up the mug and taking a last big gulp before calling it quits...for now. She slammed the unfinished drink down and got up, grabbing the sculpture before leaving the table. The girl made her way to the counter, and to not 'bother' her anymore, she picked a spot far away from Illaya, now busy with...surprisingly that one woman that came with the Legionnaires this morning. Faye frowned a little but was quick to shake her head and look away, trying to get the attention of either the barkeep or one of the maids. Pointing out the table, she paid for everyone's meal and drinks, pretty sure neither Illaya, nor Lavernius have done that yet.

With tab covered and no one to talk too, Faye just now noticed how loud and stuffy the inn was. The idea of going back to her room hasn't really appealed to her, remembering the mess she left in there this morning, nor did she feel like drinking alone or making new friends. Getting a breather seemed like a decent idea though, especially since the night was so nice. With that thought in mind, the girl left the building, having to go through the cheerful, drunken crowd again, and literally stumbled outside once she reached the exit. The night was warm, bright with stars above and lamps below, and Faye inhaled the surprisingly crispy air with a relief. Her golem waited patiently on the side, deactivated under the balcony, his flower crown still holding itself quite nicely - just like her bracelet. "Nah..." The Thaa'nas gave the automaton a thoughtful gaze, before placing its tiny copy behind its leg and moving on into the night. She wouldn't wander too far away, nor for too long, finding mild amusement with walking the curb. Game simple enough to numb the mind a bit, and challenging enough to keep it on task, thanks to the ale and poor lighting.

Faye Petralis, the Plaza of the Monolith
The night turned the plaza into a totally different place, although it wasnt the darkness itself, it was the cleanliness that sort of disturbed it. The Izukani had cleaned up nicely after they had packed up, not an inkling of their festival was left to notice excpet perhaps for a few stray pieces of confetti here and there.

Faye walked along the edge of the plaza, meeting a few faces that had their own nightly endeavors. She also passed four legionnaires making their rounds, she even gave them a quick nod and they simply kept going. The Thaa'nas could hear music coming from other inns, though a bit further off. The silence of the stars above gave a comfort to Faye, travelling alone through elven ruins, one after the other, you learn to appreciate your own company and nature around you. The Thaa'nas breathed in the fresh air and felt immediately relaxed, the ale obviously helping.

As she had finished her little game, a noise caught her attention. It sounded like some barrel had toppled over and wood smashed to splinters. Perhaps it was some drunken brawl, but from the sound of the distant music, this was a lot closer.

Lavernius Mylarc, the Dancing Horseman | Second Floor
The artist had just sent his tiny ink moth out into the sky, content to see it fly towards his love. Looking down from the balcony though, he spotted a familiar figure: Faye. Something seems to have caught her attention to the left of the inn but he couldn't really tell. It sounded vaguely like cracking wood.

Faye's mood improved to a point, where the smile crept its way back onto her face, and a quiet humming began to escape her mouth. It was a really nice night indeed, and it seemed like she wasn't the only one that appreciated that. The sudden sound haven't scared her, just caught her by a surprise, making her head snap in the direction. "Hmm? Someone there...? You alright...?" The girl lowered her arms, that she used to balance herself right now and called out. After a brief pause, she hopped off the curb and began to walk slowly but steady, her irresistible curiosity ordering her to investigate the source of noise. There were still people around, plenty of them drunk, so something might've happened...or it was just some animal scavenging for food. "Hello?"

The song ended a bit too soon, so Thalia found her way outside. Faye had already walked away and Thalia didn't feel like following her. Instead she looked up to Atlas, running a hand across his body. She heard the sound of wood splintering and turned her head in it's direction, but remained at the golem's side. Thalia slumped down against the wall just outside of the Dancing Horseman on the other side of Atlas so less people would see her as they walked by. She sat alone for however long she needed and sipped on her drink. Ten minutes, and she would go back inside. Until then, Thalia would enjoy the weather and the stars overhead, savoring every breeze that rolled through.

Lavernius squinted as he tried to make out the small figure in the dim. "Faye?" He questioned. Then to get her attention he called out a little louder. "Faye!" She seemed to be approaching an alleyway where he suspected the sound of breaking wood came from. It was probably nothing, but regardless it wasn't safe to go alone. However, Faye was a thaa'nas so if anyone would be fine, it would probably be her. He wondered if he should stay up here and keep watch or go down and follow her. The artist decided that it would be better if he was there, so he took the lantern from his room and began to make his way outside.

Faye Petralis, the Plaza of the Monolith
As the Thaa'nas made her approach, wooden splinters began to appear from the darkness. Each tentative step brought her closer to what could have been a mugging, a fallen object or just some random bump in the night. When she arrived, she found a familiar face in his death throes. Blood trickled down his coat, three deep wounds bleed out from his chest as the fallen Thaa'nas' attempted to reach out to Faye. Another body was just beside him, swimming in his own pool of crimson, she remembers it to be the shield Thaa'nas she saw just this morning with...

Ravhin.

"Faye," the dying Ravhin muttered. "Faye, you need to.. " His eyes dim and slowly close.

Faye began to make her way into an alleyway, when someone yelled out her name. She recognized Lavernius' voice and turned her head towards the Dancing Horseman, but all she saw was some movement on his balcony as the man probably moved back inside. Maybe he just waved to her there and she hasn't noticed in the dark. Either way if she was to answer, he was gone already, so the girl resumed her task with a shrug.

As she got further into the bystreet and the light of street lamps became faded and insufficient, as well as wood splinters began to crunch under her feet, the Thaa'nas stopped her cautious movement and reached to her breast pocket. Pulling out a gem, one of Atlas' eyes, she raised it above her head and began to feed it hareas. The gem kindling up with white glow, slowly, meter by meter revealed the terrifying scenery. The girl froze, her mind trying to process, or rather accept what was being presented to her, and in horrible realization, her body began to shake, and mouth and eyes tremble. "Ravhin!" Faye called out in shock and forced more energy into the gem, the eye flashing with even stronger light, to see if whoever did this was still around. Making sure the area was relatively safe and without thinking or caring about it anymore, the girl ran and dropped on her knees by the man, putting the light by his side and placing her hands on his chest. Her skirt, knees and hands immediately getting dirty and sticky from mixture of blood and dirt, the Thaa'nas began to channel the hareas of Maat and Danaa into Ravhin's body. "Bleeding...have to stop the bleeding..." Faye muttered and looked around in panic, her gaze stuck on another body for a second, before her head turned all the way back.

"Help! Somebody...! Anyone!" High pitched cry pierced the calm night. There were legionnaires still patrolling the plaza, and if not them, someone must've heard her. Focusing back on her 'patient', the girl moved from both knees to one and struggling a little, ripped a clean piece of her skirt off, crumpled it into a ball and tried to cover Ravhin's wounds, resuming her healing spell. Even if he stopped breathing, she wouldn't give up. "Not again, not again...Why, why is this happening..." Looking at the other man beside him, Faye tried to figure if he was still alive and worth rescuing. It was better to focus on Ravhin right now and try to save at least one of the wounded, than waste precious time on both and save neither.

Her eyes welling up with tears and gaze still wildly thrashing around, Faye kept looking back and forth to both alley's exits, to see if someone would appear; be it help...or returning assailant. She could either focus on trying to keep the man alive, or transport him into a safe location, but only one at the time. She needed help to move the man...Help...Of course...Faye's eyes lightened with an idea as her shaky hand jumped to her breast pocket, getting most of her attire dark red in the process. Pulling out the other eye, the girl tightly clenched her first around it, casting another spell. She placed it back and with relief, heard the growing rumble in the distance.

Something suddenly whirred inside the statue as Thalia rested beside it, and Atlas - completely motionless up until now - straightened up and rushed forward with quaking steps, drawn by the signal of its master, not paying the woman or anyone else any heed but to avoid collision.

Faye Petralis, the Plaza of the Monolith
Ravhin slowly began to breath again and Faye could feel her weave working through the wounds. Her tears ran down her face as she clung to the hope of stabilzing her friend.

Within moments, Atlas was on the scene, its hulking steps cracked the paved steps as it made its way forward. The construct stopped a few feet behind its master, its head swerving left to right as it searched for danger.

Faye could hear the sound of the legionnaires responding to her call but she didn't pay them heed. What she focused on was the haeras, the weave she'd been taught to heal wounds. The basics ran through her head, intertwining maat and danaa into patterns as she pressed them into Ravhin's body. The wounds seemed to heal but there was still a bit of blood coming out, was there other wounds she couldn't see?

The air calmed down and the night outside of the Dancing Horseman felt unnaturally quiet. Thalia opened her eyes but was still leaning up against Atlas when Lavernius came rushing from the door. "She can handle herself, y'know," was all she got out until before the sound of Faye's scream and cry for help broke the silence. Atlas, her not so comfy pillow, came to life and ran off to it's master. She stood up lazily and accompanied Lavernius out into the street where they could see the legionnaires moving in toward Faye. Thalia grabbed onto Lavernius' shirt and tugged on it to keep him in place, "she is a Thaa'nas, Mr. Mylarc. She has Atlas and several legionnaire's are moving in to aid her. It's best if we stay on the sidelines for now." Faye would be fine, but Thalia was having a hard time shaking this feeling in her gut. There was too much happening too soon in Salvation Point. She just had to make it through the festival, and then she would disappear again.

Faye smiled faintly through the tears. A spark of hope.

With Ravhin breathing and alive again...for now at least, and Atlas on her side the panic slowly began to cease, clearing space for more reasonable thoughts in her mind. The girl sniffed and wiped her face with a sleeve, slightly adjusting her position. Still holding the blood soaked material with one hand, she flicked her wrist and the gems were thrown into the air, snapping to their designated place in Atlas' skull turning the automaton into a walking spotlight. "Atlas, flip this man on his back, carefully...Then sentry." The Thaa'nas ordered and pointed at the other body and even when the automaton moved, there was still plenty of light for her to work with. Judging by his position there was probably nothing she could've done for him anyway, but still she wouldn't forgive herself if he was in fact alive and she haven't even checked.

Faye frowned. Her magic seemed to work, but hasn't been yielding quite expected results. There must've been something else underneath. "Crap..." The girl began to remove Ravhin's coat, carefully but deftly, and then the shirt. If it wasn't buttoned, she'd try to rip it open to move the man the least amount possible. With that done, Faye began to search for any additional damages on man's body, and she would still try to maintain the spell, or at least the pressure over already known wounds in the process of doing so. She'd also try to check his back, gently turning him on his side and back if nothing was found.

Lavernius opened his mouth, trying to explain that he just wanted to be sure she would be fine. When the young woman screamed Lavernius wanted to run to her side but was stopped by Illaya and by Atlas' sudden activation. As he listened to Illaya's reasoning he sighed, she was right, what could he do that legionnaires and Atlas couldn't? "You're right... it'll be better to not get involved. I guess I'm just getting a bit too paranoid. Perhaps I should have another drink. Want me to grab you something?"

Faye Petralis, the Plaza of the Monolith
The legionnaires approached and stopped at the scene, wary of the golem who suddenly shone its eyes on them.

"Quickly, we must bring them to the Temple," one of the legionnaires suggested. "Only their healing would be able to help them now."
a
Another approached Faye slowly and inspected what she was doing. "I do not think will need to yet... You are Thaa'nas as well," the legionnaire muttered whose voice sounded female under the helmet's darkness. "Has your healing stopped all the bleeding?"

Faye couldn't answer immediately, as her initial thoughts were still on locating the rest of the wounds. She ripped the man's shirt open and found one at his lower back. She suspected this was the first strike.

"There is another body," said another. "This one is dead. Unfortunate."

Thalia Valgeiros & Lavernius Mylarc, the Dancing Horseman
Thalia and Lavernius could make out Atlas' spotlight shine on the legionnaires, their movements went towards Faye, investigating the events. It seemed it was being handled, whatever happened.

From the corner of Thalia's eye, she spotted someone at the rooftops. The man's sillouette seemed to stare down at the scene. Was it just another shadow? Or was it real?

The door to the inn opened and then was shut, someone had entered the Dancing Horseman.

Marianna Laranis, the Dancing Horseman
Through the open door of the inn, came in a familiar face Mari had wanted to hear from but not this early. The legionnaires recognized him as the lone drunkard from early that day but the crime boss of the Twin Fangs knew him as her trusted lieutenant.

The legionnaires paid him no heed as he made the approach, too busy with their drinks or looking at other possible dangers.

Hunter sat a chair beside Mari.

"I apologize fer earlier this morning, lass, didn't mean to pass out on ye," he said. "Rough night, i tell ya. Twins were missing from their cribs and the old man told me to scram. My boy and girl, well, they were precious, found their friends and gathered them today. Told them to play nice but be quiet about it, neighbor might complain. 'Ey, A mug please, thanks."

"They may pass, Atlas" Faye ordered without turning around, and the golem brought its guard down and heavily stepped to the side, letting them through.

"Im not really s-...Damn it. You, come here and help me, please." Faye addressed the closest, feminine sounding Legionnaire that just asked her. "Hold him on his side, shoulders straight, chest may not touch the ground, press this against the wounds. Rest of you; Whoever did this should not be far away." The Thaa'nas' voice even if high pitched and slightly trembling, had a peculiar authority to it. It sounded much unlike the one she used back at the Izukani Quarter. "Increase the patrol, perhaps inform someone above you. If he or she was capable of dispatching two Thaa'nas at once, he's dangerous or there's more of them...I've got this under control...I think." As the girl kept talking, rest of her attention was focused on staunching the flow on Ravhin's back, using her magic and his ripped shirt.

As soon as all the bleeding has relatively stopped, Faye would once more look for any other wounds. "We need to get him to the hospital..." She muttered, before frowning deeply and looking at the near dead body cogitatively, collecting her thoughts. It was no mugging or random bump in the night. Clink of coin in Ravhin's pocket confirmed that. Besides, no simple bandit had enough guts to jump a Thaa'nas, all the less get away with it. Whoever did this wanted them both dead. "No...not the hospital. Somewhere safe. Atlas, come here. Copy." The Thaa'nas carefully placed Ravhin's body down on his back and got up, facing the approaching automaton. She extended her forearm, palm flat up and then slowly lowered it, keeping the straight angle. Golem copying the movement did the same, pretty much placing his pillar-like arm on the ground. "Stay. You...Im sorry what's your name?" Help me pick him up, and place there. Gently. The cloth has to remain in between." Faye ordered the female guard that was to stay with her and help, then grabbed the man's both legs past his knees, ready to raise him up. She would have Atlas do the lifting, if not for the need of delicacy the situation required.

Definitely not without struggle on Faye's part, Ravhin was placed on Atlas' massive forearm like on a stretcher. It wasn't comfortable, but it was stable and safer than just dragging him with two, three people. "Thank you, Im going to transport him to the Dancing Horseman and finish my tending. Its much closer than the Temple and there is a Legion's unit already there. They will be informed of the situation and you may return to your duty..." Faye nodded the guard off, and began to move in the direction of the inn alongside Atlas, keeping her palm on Ravhin's chest to maintain her spell. Once they were to leave the alleyway and step back into street light, golem's lights would turn off.
