Sorry if this sounds impolite, but who are you? But regardless, sorry to disappoint you and this obsession with my love life, but I'm not into underaged girls or furries. So it'd be best we be civil and drop this topic, forever.

Very poor timing on the post, they posted it just after three battles got released simultaneously and put the deadline to like, nothing, so of course nobody has any time to read it. It's on them really.

It's on them? Is this what we're coming to? If was unfortunate yeah, but I think that just goes to show polls should get upped to two weeks. They were following rules in a sneak boom, and said sneak boom is showing that things should change

I never said they shouldn't, it's just that these rules are so obsolete hardly anyone even sticks to them anymore. You can see just about anyone puts their polls well past ten days already.

The point still stands that they could've figured now wasn't a good time to post the battle with only a seven day deadline on the poll.

Hey man, however people wanna do their battles, that's their business and I can roll with that. I'm just saying if you're looking for my vote on something, you might not get it in one week with three or four polls up. Not saying that's anybody's fault or responsibility to fix, just that that's how it's gonna go if that's how it goes, and if it were me I'd go about it another way. Also not saying that everyone's going to, or should be expected to, magically know how the community's going to vote on their shit at any given moment, or what they can and can't do with their battles when the scoring system's in pseudoanomie. That's not even a real word lol

Ahem, Just noticed...

Vern, you totally omitted your forfeit of my battle from your record. Not that it affects scores, but I just noticed you had a zero where you needed a one.

Just saying.

I'm fine with the result of the battle, I don't mind if there was only one vote. Bad timing and lack of time is fine, stuff like that happens and is a learning experience. and anyway I'm pretty sure the result wouldn't have changed even if there were more votes, so Vern please chalk up one loss for me and one with for GenericAnon.

All it takes is a slight bit of sense to realize that if you offer four different dishes to one person in the span of half an hour, no matter how much he'd love to eat it all he simply can't. Same logic applies here, in fact I'd say reading is in an even worse position when it comes to this. Of course, I'm not pointing fingers at anyone here regardless, if anything's to blame it's the archaic and dated rules that thought somehow seven days would be enough to get ample reads for a piece of writing

You're totally right, I must've messed up while taking notes in the document I made the new Hall in. Thanks for pointing it out, my score has been adjusted accordingly.

Of course you're fine with the result, you won. One vote battles happen, in fact I think at one point we've even had a zero vote battle happen. Indeed, both of you were new faces here so you had little other than the rules to go off, refer to what I said earlier.

Also I feel I should remark if that is the attitude you wish to adopt you won't find much goodwill in this place. Confidence in your own writing is a good thing but you are never your own work's finest judge. A one vote sample size is nothing to go off of either, especially if the only vote comes from someone like Azarel. That is with no offence to Azarel, of course, but you'll find that votes from the likes of Crank or ErrorBlender tend to carry much more weight when it comes to the overall quality of a piece.

Either way I'm not disputing the outcome of the battle for it isn't my place to dispute it and I wouldn't do so to begin with. It's mostly your attitude that concerns me.

NONE OF THE ABOVE MAKES ANY SENSE

Your scores have been changed to the appropriate amounts.

It's fine, I just ask that the score be changed, maybe after you get some sleep and don't worry I didn't take it personally.
