What does everybody prefer?
I feel like all the animators here prefer to use the pen/pencil tool to draw sticks and the brush to do backgrounds.
Either using a brush to draw sticks is generally a bad idea or it just looks better?
(I tend to do this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zu_h3uOypLg )

No matter what method you do if you are able to animate it's what matter

A good portion of people here don't actually hand draw the sticks, they use the strait line tool.
I don't know what I prefer, I've been switching back and forth between brush and line, and honestly I've never tried using the pencil tool.

Oh yeah, the line tool. Completely forgot about that.
I always found it slightly annoying to use. The line tool seems to be for people who prefer mouse over tablet but that's just what I think

meh, a lot of the line users I know have tablets, which they use for effects and what not.
The appeal of line tool is that the lines are perfectly straight, so it the sticks look cleaner and more consistent.
