Serena is about twelve feet tall and weighs about six hundred pounds and all twelve of her eyes are blue. She has no mouth and nose on her head she has eight eyes that are in a circular pattern on her face though she only keeps the top two open. Four on the left and four on the right. On the lower half of her head she has four purple stripes, two on each side, that can open up and let out swarms of fireflies. She also has shoulder length red hair. Her skin is a dark blue and at night looks like it is full of stars. She wears no clothes except for a small piece of brass armor that looks like it made out of thousands of fireflies that covers her chest. Growing out of each shoulder is a snake like limb that is about ten feet long and each limb ends in a beak that also has two stalk like eyes above the beak. She only has two elongated fingers and an elongated thumb on each hand. Where her lower legs would be is the body of a firefly. She has six giant beetle legs and in total her lower body is about six eight feet long and has a giant bio-luminescent light on the underside of her body. There is also golden spirals and lines on the sides of her body and on the top of her carapace. Also her carapace opens up and she lets out her wings so she can fly. also she is about fifty thousand years old.

Serena is a kind and gentle soul that does not say much. She walks delicately so as to not harm a single creature in the forest where she has made her home. She is usually shy and so usually watches from a distance when a new person or creature enters her home. At nights in the summer and fall she will dance in the forests while fireflies glow around her seeking their mates. in the heat of battle Serena may open more of the eyes on her face depending on how the battle progresses. She also may close some if the fight starts going in her favor. Also if someone starts harming her forest she will become very angry very quickly and also very serious.

Serena is the Goddess of fireflies and serenity and has been since the dark times. The dark times was a time of absolute blackness where special enforces captured all light at the orders of the shadow king. It had been like this for well over 5000 year when suddenly there was light. It was a small light but still it was enough to catch the attention of a wondering maiden. The maiden slowly approached the light and reached out to touch it when suddenly the light went out and the appeared again behind her. The maiden was so enraptured by the light she did not notice the enforcers standing in the shadows each of them holding both a small cage and a sword made from the darkest shadows. One of the enforcers jumped at the maiden its sword swinging towards her midsection as the other enforcer jumped at the light the cage in his hand slowly sucking the light in. it was at that moment the maiden touched the light and screamed as she felt power surge though her. There was a bright flash of light and the enforcers were thrown backwards into the shadows. The maiden started changing as she screamed out in pain. Once the maiden fully changed she looked around confused and saw light everywhere small lights were coming out of her face and floating around and there was a big light behind her. The enforcers saw what was happening and jumped at her their swords swinging but the swords burned up in the light. The maiden saw this and knew what she was. She was the bringer of light and thus a goddess. She fashioned the lights that floated around her into her image and sent them out to bring light to the world. To this day she still fights the leftover forces of the shadow king who still tries to bring darkness to the world again.

As for the shadow king himself well he has gone into a deep slumber and will not wake up until the day that the world actually needs him.

Talks using telepathy that makes it sound as if her voice is coming from nowhere and everywhere at once

Can communicate with fireflies

Uses fireflies to scout out areas

To shoot fire out of her mouths

To shoot lighting from her fingers and twelve eyes

Flight

The carapace of her lower half is able to stop the blows from almost all weapons except those harder than steel.

Able to lift a ton and her carapace can withstand up to 50 tons of pressure.

To light up an area with the light on the back end of her carapace.

The six feet of her lower half can cause earthquakes when they start pounding the ground rapidly

Can create weapons from fire and lightning

can create a lightning shield that can block and reflect objects including bullets and bricks but not clumps of earth.

Can create a fire shield that only blocks things that can be burned and when said object hits the shield it is reduced to ashes.

lightning sword. can electrify metal and vaporize water on impact.

fire sword is made from solid fire and can be used to cut through metal or wood.

Can look in multiple directions at once.

Has two snake like limbs above her arms that end in beaks

Firefly swarm can be used to distract and blind an opponent

Can blind enemies temporarily with the light on her carapace

Can create rain clouds by shooting both fire and lighting up into the sky. Only does this to deal with fiery foes or to put out fires in the Forest of Light. It takes about three minutes to create a a good rain cloud capable of putting out a forest fire.

Can fire the lightning from her fingers together to create a ball of electricity that has four stages.

Stage one: fires small balls of electricity from a stage two electricity orb. can fire a small electrical ball at a rate of one a second. does not do much damage and takes ten seconds to charge set up. range twenty feet

Stage two: fires medium balls of electricity at a rate of one every ten seconds from a stage three electricity orb. Each ball can create a five inch crater in the ground. will take two or three hits to kill a normal person. takes thirty seconds to set up. range fifty feet

Stage three: fires large balls of electricity at a rate of one every thirty seconds from a stage four electricity orb. each ball will create a ten foot crater upon impact with the ground. takes a minute to set up. range one hundred feet.

Stage four: Fires the whole electricity orb which is a foot in diameter. This is a last ditch maneuver as when the orb strikes the ground or anything everything within a hundred feet will be vaporized. takes a minute to set up. range one mile.

Serena’s upper body is soft and not protect by the armor that her lower body has.

She may not always strike her opponent but try to disarm them or scare them away

She may accidentally blind herself when she flashes her own light to bright

She has a paralyzing fear of heights above thirty feet

She is a large target

She refuses to start a fight and will try to find a peaceful solution first.

May get distracted by her surroundings

The underside of her carapace is not as tough as the top and can be pieced by extremely sharp weapons

Her wings are easily burned or cut through

She cannot see out of the eyes that she is firing lightning through.

Serena ducked her head under the arch of the ruined temple where she last heard that some of the forces of the shadow king still resided. She had already slain three of the enforcers at the entrance and she had no idea how many more there were. She looked around the chamber she entered as she noticed an odd pile of rubble in the corner. One of the strips on her face lowered a bit and a few fireflies few out and flew towards the pile. Suddenly a gate slammed down behind her and she swung her head back to see while one of her snake like limb kept watch of the pile. The fireflies reached the pile and the wall behind it erupted outwards as a giant with six arms climbed out of the hole it left behind. The giant was covered in cages and was wielding six enormous spiked clubs.
“LIGHTBRINGER,” it roared, “I am The Jailer of Light! You will pay for what you have done to my brothers!”
The giant charged at Serena with his clubs raised to strike a devastating blow. At the last minute Serena jumps backwards and unleashes twin gouts of fire from her mouths. The fire, instead of burning the Jailer, is sucked into the cages on his body and extinguished.

The giant laughed as he swung his spiked clubs around trying to squish Serena, “ fool you cannot harm me with any form of light be it fire or lightning for you see I was created to extinguish all light.”
Serena narrowed the eight eyes on her head as she spoke, “so light will not harm you but what about insects?”
The strips on Serena’s face lowered completely as a cloud of fireflies was let loose and surrounded the giant as she backed away towards the gate. The giant laughed as all the cages covering him opened their doors and the fireflies were slowly sucked in and killed as soon as they entered. The giant was so busy with the fireflies that he did not notice that Serena was melting the gate with fire. By the time the last firefly was killed the gate was nothing more than a molten pile of slag.
“I told you that you could not harm me with any form of light. So what did you think you were going to do with those torch bugs” The Jailer laughed as he moved forward towards the Goddess.
Serena tilted her head slightly and spoke, “why distract you of course.”
The Goddess then started stamping down on the ground with her six feet in rapid succession which caused the whole temple to shake. The giant looked around wildly for a moment as blocks started to fall from the ceiling the roared as he charged forward swinging his clubs with reckless abandonment. The goddess ducked left and right avoiding the clubs while moved backwards slowly up the stairs all the while trampling the ground with her six feet causing the temple to crumble around them. The giant moved ever forward relentless in his onslaught and managed to land several blows on the goddess as she moved ever backwards towards the crumbling entrance of the temple. Suddenly the walls around them buckled and the ceiling collapsed. The goddess jumped backwards as the Jailer was crushed under the rubble. Serena ran as fast as her feet could take her out of the temple just barely making it out of there alive.
She mentally sighed as she held her limp right arm and went home to the forest of lights where she made her home to recover and mourn the loss of all the fireflies that died that day.
