Oster's Concept Vault

Lilian and Hannah

I've had an urge to create a character with multiple personalities lately but nothing really worked out because they would end up needlessly complex. Recently though I played a game that Played with multiple personalities a little differently, giving them mental form instead of keeping them as disembodied voices in your head. So taking that a little further I got this.

Currently, her place in my universe is rather up in the air, she could end up as my gladiator one day or be added to the growing list of NPC's in Erik's current canon.

the strike must cause bleeding as well as she must be holding the knife for the effect to active. As it is a knife the range is short.

Hysteria- Her attacks become easier and easier to read, the longer she uses this ability. Her self-preservation instinct lowers greatly combined with higher pain tolerance leads her to often taking damage which could have been avoided.

While she has great attack stats, her defensive stats are rather lacking, her claws can be broken and are ineffective against most types of armor. Also she has no ranged attacks aside from the obvious throwing things at people. Lilian cannot remain far from Hannah, when she gets past a certain range she is forcefully pulled back.
treet rat.’ She thin, practically skin and bones thin. Her shoulder length black hair is frayed, and looks just about to start falling off in clumps. She wears a very worn cloak, tattered at the edges, several holes, stiches and mismatching patches of cloth in seemingly attempts to repair it. Underneath is an dirty white dress in a similar state to the cloak.

Over her mouth is a kind of mask, think of a more durable surgeon’s mask. She always wears this to hide what’s underneath, the view of her lips that are near sowed shut. She is capable of opening them a small bit. Her eyes are a dull reddish-brown, almost the color of rust. She also has a manacle around her neck, which is connected to the one on Hannah’s wrist, the chain itself is only visible when Hannah uses it to reign in Lilian when in combat.
ed above. Generally, docile yet dismissive of others, keeping out of people’s way. Her way of thinking is rather simple, categorizing people into two groups, friends and enemies. Often times comes off childish with the attention span of a squirrel and curiosity with seemingly everything.

In terms of combat she likes to go ham on her enemies, often times rushing in and with a strategy that consists of wailing on them until they stop moving or someone stops her. She is often described as rather feral in fighting style, typically in a low stance, practically on all fours. She uses her feet just as much as her hands.

Spoiler (Click to Show)
e, yes even if she hits you with chains, absolutely no damage is incurred, not even pain. The chains themselves can be destroyed but are rather durable in exchange for no direct offensive capability.

Shield- she can only have one of these up at a time.

Diva’s Presence- Being focused on Hannah does not mean you can’t do anything, you can still attack, use abilities, etc. they just end up happening in Hannah’s direction. The compulsion is not all powerful, it can be resisted or broken through with sufficient mental fortitude.
rry blonde hair with a black band over her head, immaculate skin and doll-like features, her eyes verdant like prime pastures, though if one looks closely there seems to be something like cracks in them. A light blue, long sleeved blouse under a white cardigan and matching modest skirt that reaches halfway to her ankles, with a few frills and ribbons around the hem. As stated above, Hannah has a manacle around her right wrist, she generally covers this with a combination of her long sleeves and while gloves she wears. Can sometimes be seen carrying around a parasol.
iteness and courtesy to others. The chatty one of the two, comes off as the mature and responsible one. Kind in her words and actions, yet is her mood almost never seems to leave the neutral contentment making her hard to read. This is the façade she wears in front of the crowd, she’s rather obsessed with keeping people’s positive opinion of her, but is sly and manipulative underneath.

failed Nexcorp experiment. At the time one of the company’s research teams was looking into improving the capabilities of their Psi-tech. As a part of the process they tested the equipment on ‘willing’ subjects, one of them was Maria Zent, a woman of twenty years. She was selected due to her rather high latent psychic ability.

While initial prospects were good the experiment ended in failure, with Maria being the only survivor finishing the test but coming out of it in a coma. She was brought to SP General Hospital to keep watch over her, waiting to see if she would wake up. The actual effects of the experiment was a fracturing of her mind, into three personalities, but left as she was there was no chance of her waking. So in a last ditch attempt to keep her alive, two of the three used Marian’s psychic power to manifest themselves into the material plain, taking the names Lilian and Hannah.

They scour the city looking for ways to bring their ‘eldest sister’ out of her predicament. And while they can’t move past the boundaries of Sierra Pines, they learned of a place where many strong people gather and pin their hopes that they should be able to find one person in the RHG to help them.

The cover story they take, is that Hannah is a mage and Lilian is her familiar. This generally keeps a majority from inquiring further into their circumstance, since to permanently kill them you have to kill Marian.

Siene S. Seir

So you might have seen her around since I'm having her participate in the Monster Mix event. and while I've rather fleshed her out a lot, other opinions are appreciated. If I feel like changing my current gladiator Siene here's the most likely one to get the spot.

ability to unlock and use the higher faculties and prowess of the mind past its biological standard, capable of drawing and using psychic energy at will for varying uses. Siene has trained herself in the use of two disciplines, Psychic Energy Manipulation and Psionic Constructs.

Psychic Energy Manipulation- Does as it says on the tin. In its most basic form Siene can blast opponents with psionic energy; visually it looks like a bolt of purple lighting. She can shoot out simple projectiles, gather it into a ball to charge up the power or let out a continuous stream of energy at a target, think “Force Lightning” only change the color.

Psionic Constructs- Siene gathers Psionic energy and shapes them into tangible objects, they appear more similar to hard light constructs with a light near-transparent purple tinge. She can use this to form hardy barriers of any shape as well as simple objects such as melee weapons. When Constructs are broken she will be unable to create more for a short time.

She has some training in martial arts, both with and without weapons.
Her surroundings begin to saturate in Abyssal energy the more she uses her abilities. Slowly and temporarily leading to strange phenomena, prime of which is gravity steadily becomes meaningless and space starts to become wonky.

Out of Battle abilities:
Teleportation- an option for long range travel, Siene opens up a small and temporary portal to travel between locations via the Abyssal Plane, the concentration and preparation needed makes this very unviable in battle, also she needs some basic information on the location she’s traveling to for it to work.
Spoiler (Click to Show)
ipulation - Her projectiles are on the flashy side making them easier to dodge. She needs to concentrate when she’s using her charged attack, breaking it will result in it sputtering out. Her energy stream has a rather short range.

Psionic Constructs - Her constructs are limited to rigid objects, meaning no moving parts. The more constructs she creates the more liable to damage and destruction they become, think of them sharing the same integrity meter, thus if one gets destroyed all the rest will as well, regardless if they were actually hit or not.

While she has training in close combat, she cannot hold her own for more than a few seconds against melee oriented fighters. Siene herself is not yet accustomed to the environmental changes when they happen, and those effects can be used against her as much as she can sue it to for favor.

iene showed great potential in the field of Psionics, and was something her parents eagerly cultivated. To the joy of her proud parents, by the age of eight she was already giving shows to her friends and family, standing out in her small community even among other supernaturally gifted children.

The event that would change her life would come near the end of that year. As the snow fell blanketing the ground with white, she noticed a bright flash in the distance, in the forest outside her house. She snuck out as she often did and made her way towards the light. Upon arriving, she saw a monstrous mass of flesh, a horrifying eldritch creature straight out of a sci-fi movie, but she immediately noticed that this thing was hurt. Several of its coiling tentacles has chunks missing from them, other just gone completely, the layers of its silvery chitin like armor gone and more flaking off every second that passed.

Seeing the creature fully Siene tried to run but was caught in the creatures glowing hypnotic gaze. The creature, calling itself Feltezar, in a desperate effort to save itself tried to meld as much of its mind with Siene’s and take control of her consciousness. But with Feltezar’s weakened state and Siene’s natural psychic prowess she overpowered the Abyss Fiend and remained in control of her mind and body.

This was an incident she never told anyone, yet its effects went far and deep. For despite her retaining control of herself, Siene’s mind was irreversibly altered having incorporated part of a psychic monster, granting her access to “The Abyss” a separate dimensional plane rife with psychic energy. Yet this power also came at a price, for the next twelve years she experienced visions and dreams of the otherworldly realm of the Abyss, and as she trained and her powers grew stronger so did her connection with the Abyss along with it the frequency and intensity of the visions.

s around 5’7’’. Her auburn hair has turned pure white ending in what looks like black highlights, these highlights glow a bright amethyst when she uses her powers. Her emerald eyes as well have turned a vibrant violet that glow ssoftly. Her skin is a light sun-kissed brown pretty much like a tan, but around her chest and abdomen has become discolored to a white as unused paper. A thin body type and modest chest, objectively she’s pretty but lately people sense something’s off when looking at her.

For clothing she sports a black long-sleeved hoodie, covered in wavy purple details, underneath she wears a plain white button up shirt. Dark blue shorts reaching past her knees. Interestingly her blood is pastel white to most people but to other strong psychics it takes on a bright pink.

and well-adjusted to life. She had a small circle of close friends and was kind to everyone. Overall your typical girl next door type.

As the visions grew more vivid, she’s become much more silent, laconic and observant. She tries to keep a small profile and presence leading most people to believing she’s shy. She is actually quite self-conscious about the changes in her appearance. She keeps a neutral front when faced with people but that does not mean she has no emotions, she still cries when she’s sad, smiles when she’s happy it’s just that she tries to control herself a lot more when in front of others.

Her actions lean more to the amoral side of the morality compass, despite this she’s still a good person at heart and tries to help others with her capabilities, but does not actively seek to dos so. She’s a fighter not a killer, while she likes a good challenge she only defaults to killing when necessary. Finds other worldly or alien anatomies surprising but not scary in the least, well she’s desensitized to strange organic forms. Tends to dislike machines and robotics, self-aware robots and AI she will give a chance but her stand remains.

Kei Shigure

Really, Kei was made on a whim after I saw a particularly nice peice of art from Google search. She surprisingly got very far in development and what you see here is the final product. I like her a lot, to the point she actually has the same if not a better chance than Siene to become my new RHG.

on, as compared to those on other worlds, the Enif Empire has spread far amongst the varying worlds neighboring it. Ruled by the enigmatic monarch known simply as the Empress, it was soon after her coronation that a massive boom in scientific achievement paved the way for the Enif Empire’s road to conquest, Genetic and Molecular engineering, most of all the Spatial manipulation necessary to traverse the space between spaces or the void between dimensions using the naturally occurring spatial bridges between them.

After years of steady advance, the Enif Empire’s sights fell upon the world that the natives called Earth which forced the Empire to stop in its tracks. This is due to Earth’s nature as a nexus world, a crossroad for an unnatural number

Cassandra's Characters, Creatures, etc.

"They said she was crazy. They said, 'You're such a nice person; how could you have the imagination to create all these...these...monsters?' They never believed that she would succeed. They never knew of the species she'd developed, the characters she'd brought up, the imaginary friends that she'd hidden in her mind for years...no, they didn't understand. They told her she'd fail, they told her she'd go mad, but she endured. Despite their criticisms, she unleashed her creations on the world...and people were impressed. Now they come, and they meet her in person. They look at her and ask 'How do you do it? You make one almost every day!' She smiles, and tells them, 'Oh, that's easy. You see, I'm no ordinary girl. I...am an Author.'"

SAMAEL

He's my ultimate bad guy; the worst of the worst. My former ultimate bad guy, Shadowyvern (who also happens to be the brother of my ultimate good guy, Seraphoenix) was responsible for creating him. Eventually, Samael was the evil presence snaking through every one of my stories. At least, that's what he was supposed to be. In reality, I didn't develop him that much in the beginning; I knew he was my bad guy, but no one else would feel the same dislike for him as I (and the rest of my characters) do. So I decided to work on him; he needed a backstory, some terrifying skills that would scream "Hey-I-am-a-really-bad-dude" across the universe. The spoiler below is what I came up with (minus some major spoiler parts that would be properly explained in the 'Whispered Tales' series). I don't have a backstory for him yet, and he doesn't remember anything himself...so, it's going to take a bit of time. Also, I excluded his DEMO because I haven't finished that either.

During the creation process, I found myself getting a really good feel for the guy. Please CNC, because he's likely going to be a WIP for a long while.

ABILITIES

WEAKNESSES
Ancient Blood – he’s still somewhat human and will die if he takes enough damage (e.g. broken bones, dismemberment), and can also be affected by disease and poison. The Alphegerai’s wound-sealing works only for external injuries; any organ-related damage requires Samael to be out of combat for the repairs to start. It can hold broken bones together, but only in one spot (e.g. if he has bones broken in two places, it can only deal with one). Plus, sealing wounds or holding bones together does not nullify pain.

The length of the shadow tentacles vary depending on their owner. Samael can only handle one tentacle, and it can be any length not exceeding 6 ft. The Alphegerai on the other hand, can control all of them at once, in which case they will be 12 ft.

The shadow tentacles can lift up to 4000+ lbs if Samael pushes himself. However, he’s much more comfortable lifting things around 100 to 200 lbs.

The Alphegerai can defend Samael from ambush attacks because it can respond much faster than he can. However, its reaction will render him completely blind for 60 seconds afterwards.

When interacting with a physical object, the tentacles will “solidify” when in contact with it. This leaves them vulnerable to damage. Samael tries to counter this by only using the tendrils for a brief moment. His Alphegerai on the other hand, shows no such caution. This can be problematic, as once a tentacle is heavily damaged, it disappears and cannot reappear until all other tentacles are destroyed. The tentacles are about as tough as bridge cables when hit with physical attacks…but magic will dissolve them like heat melts a snowflake. Every time they are destroyed, Samael gets a major hit to his stamina, and the effects will stack and persist until the battle is over. So far, he can’t handle all four of them being destroyed in one battle; he’d be too drained to continue.

Power Overload – using the ‘Surge’ skill for extended periods of time has a very high chance of killing Samael. Though the signs are obvious (steady bleeding from mouth, increased heart rate, V-forehead-mark sending out red sparks, wounds sending out bolts of red lightning, veins from eyes spreading to cover almost his entire face), he may not notice them in the intensity of combat. Also, his Alphegerai is usually so caught up in the thrill of the Surge, it forgets to tell him of the danger. Knowing this, Samael tries to stick to being human for as long as he can; using the power only in emergencies and even then, only a brief Surge is usually necessary. If he’s not careful, using the skill too long could cause his Alphegerai side to overwhelm him (see next weakness).

Impossible Regen – it will instantly repair any wounds Samael has (that includes internal injuries)…but only if he receives a mortal strike. The mortal strike will also be repaired after a couple minutes of delay…as long as it isn’t inhibited (e.g. sword or other large obstruction is in the mortal injury area). If Samael receives more than one mortal injury, then the biggest one will heal first. Mortal strikes will not be instantly repaired if another mortal strike happens while they are healing.

If Samael receives more than two mortal strikes, he will become incapacitated. The same goes for a fatal strike. Incapacitation counts as defeat.

Not A Mastermind - Samael’s telekinesis only works if he maintains eye contact with the objects. Also, he’s more comfortable manipulating only one thing, and usually uses the skill to pick up and throw objects (i.e. he can’t duel with a mind-manipulated sword, every clash will cause him to flinch and lose control of it). Although it is quite possible that he may have enough power to manipulate a whole host of objects at once, his human brain does not have that capacity…yet.

Also, he can’t telekinesis anything that belongs to his opponent (e.g. their signature weapon).

Risk Sponge - Any energy-based attack Samael absorbs has a high chance of supercharging the Alphegerai inside him. If that happens, Samael could suffer massive internal injury. That, or he’d die instantly in a powerful, spectacular explosion. Given those risks, Samael often seeks to avoid absorbing things (or he’d ask his Alphegerai if it’s survivable, but even if it is, he’s not likely to try). The absorption does not work if Samael is dealing with physical projectiles (e.g. sand, bullets, shrapnel etc.).

This is a difficult weakness to categorize since magical abilities fall under “energy”. Although Samael may not seem to receive any damage when hit by magic, the arcane energy expended by the attack could still be absorbed, and can supercharge his Alphegerai.

Tele-Pain - Samael does not teleport often; the ability disassembles his human form and reassembles it somewhere else. After reassembly, Samael has intense pain everywhere for five excruciating minutes. The pain increases with distance traveled. Also, Samael cannot teleport just anywhere; he needs to actually picture a place he’s been to if he wants to go there.

Overall, the Surge skill is so dangerous that Samael can’t even consider it to be an “if-all-else-fails” move.

I’m Supposed To Be Controlling Me – While the Surge is active, Samael’s Alphegerai side is much stronger, and usually tries to take over Samael’s human side, often through argument. The Alphegerai would love that Samael put it charge, and use his Surge more often, but that would be bad for both of them.

If the Alphegerai does take over during a Surge, it will do everything it can to either kill or drive the threat away (usually the former). Samael can still fight and regain control of himself by force, but this is very difficult.

Interference – Samael’s Alphegerai has a mind of its own…so if ignored, it protests. While it cannot seize control of Samael’s motor functions directly, it usually goes for a psychological thorn (e.g. hallucinations, false report about enemy positioning, etc.).

Fear Range Limit – 60 ft. Also, the Alphegerai is nothing but an extremely powerful illusion; it cannot affect/interact with the physical world.

Collar –Samael’s Surge can expend way too much power (the most common indicator is the appearance of a sudden thunderstorm, but the breaking of all electrical lights within a hundred feet of Samael, or all living things within 60 ft of him having the same intense nightmare at once, have also been reported). If this happens, the collar will glow a soft blue and force Samael to faint. When Samael is unconscious, his Alphegerai side will still be awake, and can heal him. However, it cannot attack or defend. The collar will also knock Samael out if he begins to suffer the effects of an overload.

Given the inconvenience of a blackout in mid-combat, both Samael and his Alphegerai try to keep their power under wraps as much as possible. This is quite the challenge; the Alphegerai hates being underpowered, and Samael sometimes lets it have its way because that means it won’t be so bothersome.

Fear and Pain, The Double-Edged Sword – Although Samael is stronger the more fearful he is, any extreme pain will weaken his human mind significantly. Though his Alphegerai side will attempt to keep him going despite heavy injury, his human side will keep registering the pain of those injuries. This makes his Alphegerai stronger, as Samael’s human side tends to release more fear the harder he struggles to survive. Though Samael can force himself to tolerate the bite of broken bones, any mortal wounding would be nearly impossible to ignore.

Basically; fear and pain make the Alphegerai very strong, but a human body (even an enhanced one) can only take so much.

Intensity of Light – Samael’s fractal irises pose an incredible problem if hit with intense illumination. He has that shadow visor (see Appearance section) to help pr

Thanks for the input, Glad you like her name, though, FYI, Sison is an actual last name, I have relatives with it. As for the title...well in truth she wasn't supposed to have one but seeing as so many others I saw with it, I though I'd try to give her one...honestly it's not likely to make the final cut, if I get around using her officially. Also the powers as well, though Vern helped out a lot in that area with his own advice.

Now to the weaknesses, I do see what you mean. Though When I was making Siene I originally had in mind that while she did use "mental" energy and used her mind, she could massively affect the physical world yet was a complete novice at affecting others on the mental plane...yeah sounds kinda backwards, I admit that was why in her original ability set powers that typically are associated with psychics specifically Telekinesis and Telepathy, were relegated to purely outside of combat use.

Massive fault on my part was not adding her naturally large mental defenses to the ability description. slipped my mind I guess or I attempted to handwave it. I did end up putting large empahsis on it in what i have of her demo but...yeah my fault. I do like the idea of her losing some of her sanity, not all, but I'm not all to confident I'd be able to pull it off...I'll try. and in relation to her History, yeah I place dthe reason she didn't lose her marbles being a stupid high base mental defense stat. That being said, I think I thought of a way to tweak it, I'll end up having to rewrite her backstory somewhat but I'm kind of excited about that idea.

As for her personality, as to why she's not completely lost her marbles for me was two fold, the above mentioned fortitude and also time. You could say that I was going for that she became rather desensitized to the crazy stuff she sees, I mean to me breaking under the pressure or getting used to something, like even something a mundane as hard labor (likely bad comparison), are pretty close to each other, just depends on the kind of people who get exposed to stuff. I didn't make it claer on why she's capable of enduring it though so again my fault.

As for why she became only more reserved, I guess I wanted to show that she's actually rather distant from her humanity already. despite her wanting to believe she can turn back, she's so far down the road that turning around is already a foggy concept. In a way she's more of a scout already for the abyss, so her personality shifted to being more observational. I failed to state it but there is actually no way for her to turn back to being full human again. so her choices are essentially, continue living on Earth as something more than human, movie into the abyss, or open a path for the abyss to move into Earth. and also I'm using hte time card again, she's had time to come to terms with this, she's accepted her fate of transformation, so her story's really more on whay she does after the fact.

Again though I placed it largely in her demo, near complete but I wanted some opinions on Siene in case I would end up chaning stuff. My fault that it wasn't clear, sorry.

As for her blood thing, that's not actually meant to be the only, it's not even supposed to be the main way to identify her as a psionic, it just seemed like a fun tidbit to add.

Thanks for the input, massively appreciated and will be taken into heavy consideration. glad to see that the characters I make aren't complete trash.

P.S.
I've heard of Legion but never actually watched an episode, may get into it and a few other stuff more, to better get into writing crazies.

Heya Oster, funny though, I have relatives of the same last name too. I think I have a character using that name somewhere here as well.

Kanji: 人生の消費者
Age: 862 (was human born 1155 AD, died 1190)
Gender: Male
Height: 303 cm (10 foot)
Weight: 2000 kg (4,409 lbs)
Race: Oni
Family: Long dead
Alignment: Chaotic Evil

Look
Shohisha is a large and monstrous creature, towering over most living creatures and most certainly humans. His skin is a sickly white, with long white rough and unkempt hair reaching down to his lower neck. He is grotesquely obese; his stomach so large and droopy that it nearly completely covers his crotch along with the fat on his neck forming multiple fat marks when he looks down. Covering most of his lower body is a large loin cloth with multiple stitches holding it together, the pattern indicating it was once a tiger, but most likely wasn’t just one. His lips are completely black, with large fangs protruding through the mouth both upwards and downwards, each sharp enough to cut by simply touching it. On top of his head he has two black horns that aim forward at a 45-degree angle; they have cuts and a rough texture to them, due to centuries of battle. His massive hands only have four fingers each, and his feet only have four toes on each, with sharp claws on all four appendages being a pitch black color. Finally, Shohisha wields a massive iron spiked Kanabo completely colored black, the weapon is massive; reaching to a height of 274 cm (9 foot) and weighed at a terrifying 100 kg (220) with the top of it having the width of 15 cm.

For those who want a visual representation of him, here you go.

________________________________________

Abilities:

Volcanic Eruption
Being a figure of disaster and destruction, Shohisha is able to create such a disastrous event. Specifically, he’s able to summon a small active volcano, one who’s open top is about the size of a large stadium. He does this by firmly pressing his hands on the ground in full concentration, forcing the earth itself to mold to create the volcano. Once summoned, Shohisha is able to “activate” it, essentially make it blow up in an eruption, spreading ash and fire everywhere in a huge radius. Which is, y’know, dangerous. There is one limit to the power, and that is time; both for creation and activation. Creating a volcano is no small feat for him, and it takes him about an hour to make sure the volcano fully forms. If interrupted, the ground still stays in the condition it was molded to, but becomes more of a mountain than a volcano. Along with this, activating the volcano takes about ten minutes to do, and same as before, breaking his concentration will cancel its progress.

Regeneration
Shohisha’s regeneration is unimaginably powerful, with light wounds being able to heal in seconds. Even near fatal injuries are regenerated in mere minutes. Cutting off, or just destroying, an appendage such as an arm will only take about an hour to regenerate. However, massively vital organs such as the heart or brain, when significant damage is done, means death for Shohisha.

Arm Creation
Shohisha can, on any part of his body whenever he wants, create arms identical to his own. These take no time to create, and can literally emerge from his body in seconds. For example, if he missed a strike with his massive Kanabo and his enemy is getting close to strike, he can very quickly grow an arm to grab that enemy. One of the main limitations being that he’s not accustomed to having so many arms, so they might get in the way of each other as he moves them. This also takes a bit of energy, and prolonged use of an extra limb can exhaust him.

Eye Creation
Much like Arm Creation, Shohisha creates body parts wherever he wants on his body, making it difficult to ambush him. Of course, he can’t have too many, since the eyes can still easily be wounded.

Fortress Summoning
With loud and horrifying demonic words and strange hand signs, Shohisha can summon a massive crimson red demonic fortress. The fortress is 4 kilometer wide and 4 kilometers long, the highest towers seemingly reaching up to the skies. Large black spikes adorn the fortress, with rotten flesh and dead human bodies used as decoration on the walls and towers. The massive gates that defend the one land entrance into the fortress are shaped in a large white demon face, similar to Shohisha in design, with large tusks protruding the front of it and large eyes staring straight ahead. The inside is no less demonic than the outside; the walls are decorated with dried blood and the foul odor of carcasses. Within these halls patrol the demons of the fortress, either dutifully guarding entrances or patrolling around the massive passageways. Sometimes however this won’t be the case. For sometimes, the demons of the underworld have a feast. In one massive room in the center of the structure, the hordes of Oni drink endless amounts of alcohol, partying and singing haunting tunes of death and destruction. They drink themselves drunk and continue drinking until they all pass out.

There are four types of demons that infest the halls. The small Yanari, who are more nuisance than threat, the Kasha, devious yokai who hunt for corpses, and the large Oni, only dwarfed in size when compared to their commander Shohisha himself. The final demon is the most dangerous one, the Ushi-Oni, massive beasts of incredible destructive power.

Yanari are miniature demons that look exactly like Oni, but are about 15 cm (6 inches) tall, making them as mentioned more like annoying little pests than valid foes. They even ride on their much larger allies, the Oni, into battle on their hair and shoulders. They wield miniature weapons that can penetrate a human’s skin like needles. Due to their lack of combat usefulness, they make good fortress guards, watching all corners of the mighty structure.

Kasha are bipedal felines as large or larger than humans. Their main purpose is to gather the corpses left from the rampage of the Oni and store them in the fortress. They have no combat abilities and are thus much more cowardly than the other demons.

The Oni of the fortress are in essence just like their commander, they are however simply just weaker versions of him. They range from red to blue (although some other colors are there, but they are much rarer) and usually range from 250-275 cm tall (8-9 foot). Much like their master, most wield Kanabo proportional to their size, although some may wield large swords instead. Some however fulfill a ranged role and use large bows that easily skewer humans. They have no magic ability unlike their commander, and weaker in terms of strength and toughness in comparison to him.

The Ushi-Oni have varying sizes, ranging from the size of a car to the size of a tank to the size of a plane. There is always one thing in common with all of them however and that is the bovine features, all have a bulls face and large horns protruding from their skulls. The smaller variant are used as guard dogs by the Oni, while the largest of them are used as beasts of war.

Strengths:

Super Strength
Shohisha is incredibly strong, even compared to other Oni; even to the point where he’s able to bring down buildings (or lift them up, but even he has his limits)

Disease Immunity
Yeah, good luck with making a demon sick. The worst ever plague imaginable probably wouldn’t even make his ass itch.

Thick Skin
While not impenetrable, an Oni’s skin is thick enough to make it difficult for even the sharpest sword to penetrate deeper than skin deep. The skin is actually thick enough for him to only suffer 10% of the damage that could be caused by an explosion (IE a missile)

Razor Sharp Teeth
Although he doesn’t always do it, Shohisha does sometimes decide to simply pick up his enemies, and eat them. Whatever armor they wear is made useless as his powerful jaws and sharp teeth chew anything to mere mush.

Infinite Digestion
Doesn’t matter what Shohisha eats; he can always digest it. His digestive system is so powerful that he can consume metal with absolutely no consequence, making it di

Sharp Claws
If the Kanabo wasn’t bad enough, Shohisha has incredibly sharp claws, as sharp as swords, which can easily tear apart a human.

Terrifying
His size, his strength, his demonic appearance, everything about him; makes Shohisha a terrifying opponent to face. Lesser warriors simply give up in the face of such demonic power, others run away with all the energy they can muster. This is by no means a magical effect, so if a character feels no fear, then it doesn’t matter.

Skill in the Kanabo
Although he doesn’t always use it since his enemies usually tend to be the size of children to him, Shohisha still keeps many of the skills his kept in his human life, making him quite the adversary with his massive kanabo.

Weaknesses:

Massive target
Being as huge as he is, Shohisha is a massive target to pretty much any weapon, making it hard to miss

Slow Moving
Being so large and also being so obese makes Shohisha incredibly slow, his run is about 14 km/h and his slow movement, while not too slow, makes his attacks sluggish and relatively easy to dodge.

Easily tired
Being so obese makes Shohisha incredibly tired very easily, five swings with his Kanabo in quick succession and he has to take a thirty-second breather.

Normal Items
Perhaps the strangest detail about Oni is their specific weakness to beans. Throwing beans onto an Oni will cause the creature’s skin to burn violently where the bean landed, which causes the Oni incredible pain, to the point of stunning them. The burning also makes the skin incredibly soft, making it much easier to damage.

Relatively easy to manipulate
Shohisha, much like all Oni, is foolish. So easily driven by his greed and gluttony that a smart person can simply utter words and outwit him. Making promises of gold, food, alcohol, or even fresh humans to kill can easily fool the demon. Even bribing him with large quantities of these items can make him sympathetic to you. Of course, what you would want to do is to get him drunk so it’s easier to fight him, but you would need a lot of alcohol for that.

About:

“If a man has all his spiritual desires met, he becomes kind and loving. But if a man has all his physical desires met, he becomes selfish and greedy.” -Unknown

Shohisha was once a human, in a time long forgotten by the demon himself. He was born into a relatively small samurai clan, who’s name has long since been lost, on 1155 AD. What’s interesting about this clan however is that it practiced many of the doctrines of the samurai code, yet it did so before the age of samurai did so in 1185. If this was the first instance of this is unknown, as the clan has been lost in the waves of time. For the next 17 years of his life, Shohisha would be trained in the art of the samurai, learning their skills and abilities, along with their code and way of life. Shohisha unfortunately did not take to the training well, even as he grew up his personality was still childish and self-centered, and his skills with the sword were below average. That was until when Shohisha kept growing, unlike his brothers and sisters, reaching a full height of two meters (6’6” foot), while the rest of his brothers stayed at about 164 cm (5’5” foot), and along with this having an impressive strength. That was when it was decided that rather than train him with the sword, Shohisha would be trained in the art of the Kanabo, a large bat like weapon used to crush armor that was considered unwieldy due to its size and weight. Shohisha was quick to learn the arts and techniques of the weapon, surpassing many other samurai in training with the weapon. By the time he reached 17, Shohisha had become a full-fledged warrior in the eyes of his family and was finally made a samurai along with most of his other brothers; those that weren’t simply became monks and left the family altogether.

Shohisha would spend the next eight years in relative peace, practicing his skills with his brothers and other family members, honing his impressive skills. In fact, after three years, he would even end up marrying a woman from another small clan through an arranged marriage. Shohisha’s more rigid and more honor oriented clan culture, and his wife’s more aristocratic and more political oriented clan culture did not mesh well together. The two would ultimately end up happy together despite a rough start due to a difference in traditions instilled in the two from their respective clans. After another three years, the two would end up having two children together, first a daughter and then a son. The wife would end up taking care of the girl while Shohisha took care of the boy, but both parents loved both their children with all their hearts. For a time, Shohisha felt true happiness; he had fulfilled his soul through a purpose in life, a wonderful wife who he loved, and two beautiful children. His inner demon that told him to follow his primal desires had finally been silenced.

However, at the end of these eight years of happiness, conflict erupted. One of the four major clans, Taira, had attempted a coup d’état on the land of the rising sun (Japan for those that don’t know what that means), and in retaliation, another major clan in the form of Minamato had called for war on Taira. The ensuing Battle of Uji took place just outside Kyoto, starting a five-year-long war that would change the face of japan forever. Shohisha was immediately called in to battle, specifically on the side of Minamato. Due to his great prowess and how popular he had become in the clan, Shohisha was chosen to lead his clan and the local people under his clan into war. Though he would never participate in the larger scale battles until much later, Shohisha quickly made a name for both himself and his clan through their powerful sudden shock combat style that quickly broke down their enemies, with Shohisha making a name for himself as a destroyer of his foes. As more and more people noticed his skill, so did the generals of the Minamato clan armies. Two years into the war, and Shohisha ended up getting promoted higher up the samurai ranks, earning more and more prestige both for himself and his clan as the war went on. He would even end up catching the eye of the leader of the clan himself, which would see great benefits to Shohisha in the future.

This would continue until the end of the war in 1185. Shohisha ended up being figuratively crowned as a war hero with his supposed underdog story of him and his small clan inspiring many of both the commoners and nobles alike. He would even end up getting rewarded by the new shogun himself, receiving massive amounts of gold, land, and even a castle built for his clan with the shogun paying the expenses for the construction. Such was the impact one man made, that even an emperor rewarded him so highly. As with most people who would receive such a reward from a person of such high standing, Shohisha was happy to no end; he had finally built his clan higher than even his father could.

This was however, the beginning of the end for our hero. Although he was happy once more with his family after half a decade of war away from them; something within him had awakened. His inner demon awoke to the sound of riches and blood. Slowly, he began to morph away from his once proud form into a husk of what he once was. He grew petty, senile, greedy, gluttonous, and wrathful. He would show little love to his family, abusing them at times, as he grew colder and colder. He wanted more and more of everything. Gold, food, power, everything, he wanted it all. And he would get his wish, he would earn himself more money than even the shogun himself through unlawful extortion of those below him, he would earn himself more food for himself than he could ever healthily eat in a life time, and he would conscript and force

I was bored. Will update this later with
more mythos characters, currently working on Wendigo.

Spoiler (Click to Show)
for short. Former means The Consumer of Life, the latter simply means the consumer

Not going to imply anything here, but you trying to prove something with these two characters?

Also @everyone else, I'll be reviewing the rest of the chars shortly. Got caught up IRL with laziness and time travelling ninjas and stuff.

UPDATE TIME

I have added my next wRHG, Bethany Brookes, to my list on the first page. There's gonna be some formatting changes and some additions (like a Demo) to the final draft so, if you are worried about that, then don't be.
