Greetings all from young to old, new to veteran, lazy to determined. And welcome to the first episode of the Trimester Cup.

The Trimester Cup is my own personal miniature tournament that will be running throughout the year. Every two weeks I give the writers a challenge and it will be up to them to complete it in any way they choose. This tournament is open to everyone and once you wrote for one topic, it isn't mandatory to write the rest of the topics if you don't want to.

Here is how it works: for the next 12 weeks I will be issuing a new topic periodically every two weeks. After the deadline and everyone has sent me their work, I will put up the stories to the public for vote. The winner of that particular Episode will move on to the season finale where all the winners of each episode's work will go head-to-head to determine the winner of the Trimester Cup.

The rules are simple:
1. Only one entry per person per episode.
2. It will be encouraged to do the piece on Google Docs, but if you post it on the forum itself, it will still be accepted.
3. The font needs to be Ariel and the font size at 11pt.
4. There are page limits. Minimum of 2 pages and a Maximum of 10. With wiggle room of one paragraph.
