It's the musical taste and style.
If you just relate a bunch of people who cut theirself as emo and hate their life then no emos would exist as if they actually hated their life, they'd be dead.

Trust me, I know alot of emos and spent a year or two as one. It wasn't the start of last year I began to change myself dramatically. I never self-harmed and just suffered from depression. But, I dressed like an emo and hate the emo music taste. I've always hated MCR, though.

Can't you like the music without being an emo? That doesnt make sense to me. Being emo is the lifestyle it's about. Of course most of emos also listens to that kind of music, but there are other peaple than emo's that listens to the same.

Easy there dickweed, I didn't jump to conclusions. I called THE BAND emo. I think you're completely missing the point. Look at the first post I made. Note the 'emoooooooooooolololololol'. You see that? Yeah? That's me not giving a shit if it really is emo or not, but, they are an emo band. I made a joke about it and some up-tight teen who obviously thinks that what ever anybody says about emos isn't true and they HAVE to all be the same, which, yeah, it's true, but they don't all cut.
