I found another awesome site for gaming tuts. This dude has a blog where he tells you how to make popular games, like b[]xhead, bloons, and other games. The tutorials are not exactly the same as the game but their bloody close and with some tweaks with what AS skill you might already have you can easily make the game your own. Some tuts even have downloadable flas if you don't get how it works!

Please don't copy his codes, change the graphics, and call it your game. Thats called a copypasta game and they require no skill and get you no respect. So don't do it.

yah good links, but see what i need are some VERY easy codes... and no tut i have ever found gave me the codes that work. im just trying to make a 2D side scrolling shooter (stick figures) with different weapons and enemies that go after u. very basic. i somewhat understand the concept of putting movie clips into other movie clips, but the coding is always wrong! either an error, ot the buttons do sumthing weird! help and codes would be appriciated. I KNOW THIS SOUNDS NOOBISH, but srsly.
