I disagree, or well you might have, but that effect should've only been used on the strongest swings or fastest swings. Its a cheap way of not animating that anime uses. Animate everything unless its like the last swing or the stronger one of the combo, like a finishing blow.

looked smooth, maybe make it a bit more faster, but still cool!
