Brokensource.tk, Shiftlimits.com, and Stickpage.com bring you:
The Principles
Member of the Multi-Rounder Competition Organization
This is a 13 round animation competition that will be running for some time. It will be similar to TLTFT, except it has one basic rule: Ollie Johnson, from beyond the grave, has dictated this competition entirely.

Ollie Johnson is one of "The 9 old men" as Walt Disney called his 9 best animators on staff, working on Snow White and all those movies you fapped to. He wrote a book, along with a fellow old man, Frank Thomas, The Illusion of Life published in 1981 (I think...) to help teach aspiring animators how to handle the new art of virtual cinema. He made this "Animator's Bible" 500 or so pages with images and all, and made one simple guideline to all animators which many follow today: The 12 basic Principles of Animation. These 12 principles deal with character design, motion, and all those things you need to be mediocre.

This competition is spun around these 12 principles. From 1st to 12th will be a topic of each principle to animate 15 seconds minimum showing your skill and reflecting the principle to a high extreme, AND not misrepresenting, or badly showing the past principles experimented in this competition.

This thread is not the first round. It is a notice. The first round will begin once the TLTFT is finished so there wouldn't be two of these multirounded comps around. This thread is for planning. As you'll notice, there are 12 rounds, and in each, there are 15 seconds minimum When put together that makes 3 minutes of animation MINIMUM all focused on the quality of it. Even if you skip a few, or even a lot of rounds, the outcome will be a good duration. Of course it isn't needed, but the 13th round will be a competition of the collaborated shorts as a final, so if you plan on winning, I suggest you do the following:
-Keep all rounds' FLAs
-Plan from now, until the competition begins, how a plot, or a configuration of the final compilation would work.
-Keep an easy mindset. This will be easy. 2 weeks per round for 15 seconds. That's less than one second a day.
-Don't finalize a plan. Keep trying to improve on what you can.
-Collaborate it at the end quickly with a spiffy yet simple menu and credits.

Rules:
All forum rules, just in flash.
15 seconds duration minimum
Flash only
No Fps, Skill, Canvas size, Advertisement, or anything limits.
Must contain the animation principle in that round.
Each round is 2 weeks. It's a deadline. No extensions.

Suggestions:
-Use time wisely. Procrastination got a month late finishing grayscale....
-Learn. Get as much info as possible about animation, and use your knowledge to improve your animation.
-Remember: You don't have to do every round. You can enter for fun for a round. Just say so so we don't have to put you in for the next round. =/
-Fast credits suck
-Be a perfectionist.

Entrants:
-Slanted
-.Busted
-ragingrasegan
-Grubber Forge
-fuppykuks
-SSJB. THATS RITE IDC IF U DONT WANNA GET IN. UR IN LOLOLOL

We will have 5 Judges: Strills, Opted, Bubbleman, Joust, and Supranova. I'm not judging due to more qualified peeps here. :P
An award maker would help. It's a luxury for what you're getting out of this. ;D
We will have 1 Thread Helper who helps out with response to questions, and reporting spam.

Entrants get pl0x.  :Phew:

Good luck. I won't be entering... D:

The entrants entered on this list have a big advantage. You can enter at any time

Once again, Kitsune is taking an artistic approach (that's good). You did two major mistakes :

1. I noticed that as TLTFT you want to turn every round into a collaboration am I right (you counted how much animation there'd be for each round) ? Yes ? Then set a FPS limit, buddy. :P

2. You already told your participants the subject. Basically they can do animations long before the rounds begin. That sort of kills the round limitations thing, you know ? I mean... maybe a participant just wants to win a round and works for more than 2 weeks on an animation for that round coming later. But, considering "round 13" is a battle between compilations this helps. Get something, lose something else. :P

Comps like TLTFT or whatever are overdone in my opinion, atm, there are 3 going on? Why not join all in 1?

No, not every round will be a collaboration. The individual animators make a movie out of all of their own work on this competition if they plan it out.

Knowing the topic is the prime interest of this collab, and no one knows the order of the rounds, which could help prevent this, but it's still possible to animate ahead, and knowing this, anyone could do anything, giving no one an unfair advantage if it's not against the rules. Which it's not. Working ahead only means you are willing to work hard to succeed in this comp, and deserve a good place.

@ Paintball (and the others) : Good sir, I am working on creating a "TLTFT style competitions organization". That will help our competitions prosper even better. Challenges are the future, my friend. I am working on a pack of rules for multi-rounder competitions making so that NO TLTFT style competitions fails. If I get the approval to apply those rules in the Animation Attack section we should have a multi-rounder competition going at ANY TIME OF THE YEAR. Big competitions help keeping the Animation Attack section active. :) Let's do this for the forum, people! :P

@ Kitsune : So you were calculating how long those personal compilations would be... Ok. You've got a good point in working ahead there. :P

Damn. because of the multiple people trying to do the same thing, but with less thought-through ideas, this comp will lose many people and might even die.

D:

I thought it would do good, too...

Edit: Blayzed's comp I see. I see no others.

Seriously, isn't this an okay idea? :(

Relax, matey, no one's going to steal your competitors, TLTFT ends in 15 days and Spitzer's competition is addressed to a different kind of public. Your competition is more artistic (than Spitzer's even though his first round is animated comic) so you will attract a different group of people.

Huge feeling this will fail because of people who wouldn't really qualify as a judge wanting to be one, losing us two weeks of planning until we find these people because people keep asking to be a judge instead of realistically thinking of how they would do in the competition, and just thinking of an animation.

*hint*
