THE LONG TIME FLASH TOURNAMENT



The long time flash tournament is a flash animations tournament. It has 12 rounds and it takes 6 months, from 15th of March 2008 to 15th of September 2008 (which means you’ll have to do 12 animations of different subjects in 6 months). The subjects of the animations will be various: magic, fights, suicidal stick figures and more.

Anyone can join, from the most inexperienced animator to the most experienced one; this is a tournament for everyone. So, your level doesn’t matter.

If you like the idea you can JOIN THE TOURNAMENT from 15th of January to 15th of March. No one will be allowed to enter the tournament after 15th of March, because that’s the day when we start animating.
The animations will be judged by 5 judges: sAcReD, SSJBryando, Bubbleman, Orbb and Strife. (http://www.stickpageportal.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78696 <--- Kill Sacred collab 3 thread) The scores given by the judges will be from 0 to 10 points. The final score of each animation will be the arithmetic mean of the 5 scores the judges will give it. The animator with the most points on 15th September 2008 will be awarded the winner overall of THE LONG TIME FLASH TOURNAMENT 2008. Yet, there will be: an award for the winners of each round, a 2nd overall award, a 3rd overall award, a 4th overall award and for those of you that don’t win, an image with the logo of THE LONG TIME FLASH TOURNAMENT 2008 and your name on it, to prove that you’ve participated.

The only program used will be FLASH. The frame rate and resolution may vary from a round to another.

At the end of the tournament, I will make a huge collab out of all the animations made for the tournament. It is going to be posted here and on the official website of the tournament, http://thelongtimeflashtournament.lx.ro at the collabs section.

IMPORTANT: How the scores will be given: Each animator will get points for each animation. The judges will ONLY SCORE the animations, not review them, as we have over 20 participants. Each participant will get a number of points for each animation. There will be a winner for each round and an overall winner. The overall winner is the animator that has gathered the biggest number of points (the final score of each animator is the sum of the scores he got for each of his animations and the score of each animation is the arithmetic mean between the 5 scores given by the 5 judges)

What do you mean with 'vet' area? I've never heard of it.

Freddeh isn't around anymore, I know him IRL so be sure about that. I don't know you, why'd you pick me as invite?

1ST: Thanks for telling me Freddeh left, I will delete him from the invites list.
2ND: The tournament has 12 rounds, so you'll have to do 12 animations that have 12 different subjects, I am not going to tell them exactly now, I am going to tell them exactly when the tournament starts on 15th of March (before each round I'll tell the subject). There is going to be magic, decapitations, suicidal stick figures, water splash and others.
3RD: I picked people as invite by their animations. I saw you really have skills so I invited you (By the way, we know each other...a bit, I think, from the BEST COMBO competition). If you're mad on me for inviting you without knowing you as a person and only knowing you've got animation skills, I am sorry)
4TH: The judges, in my opinion don't necessary have to be the best in flash, they have to have experience. I am not very good in flash, but trust me, I've seen lots of flash animations and I can make the difference between what is good and what is bad even though I can only make bad animations :(

why is Aklemo invited to this tournament? I saw him here on stickpage and thought he would like this comp. Sorry, has he also left stickpage?
