lol this tread is pretty pointless. I know alot of people say hes bad. Which I have no idea why everyone hates him, since he has over 30 milion vieuws. if he was that bad he wouldnt had that, and he got on the news a few times for most selling ringtone or w/e T_T

I know he doesnt really have singing talent or w/e, but there are other elements needed to make a good song or beat/dance/. and his song is pretty populair, So he didnt fail at making a populair and good beat/ dance. When I listen to crank that, I probably replay it for 2-3 times. because its a pretty cool beat >_> not that I listen to him, like search all his songs or something.

Being looked at or heard a whole bunch of time doesn't mean he's good, so I don't see how it plays into his quality. I've heard "Crank Dat" probably 500 times now and I still hate it. In fact, that's one reason why I hate it.

Have you ever once thought that people don't actually look for things because they like it? Look at THIS VIDEO. Oh, it has over a million views. That must mean that everyone liked it, right? No, people watched it because it was so bad, it's funny. Same thing with Soulja boy.

That and how are you to know that many of the people who watched Soulja Boy's video weren't watching it for the first time out of curiosity? So would that mean they liked it?

And as for the people doing the dance and recording it, that doesn't mean they liked the song. I've heard a lot of people say how much they like to do the dance because it's fun, but they hate the song.

EDIT: Yeah, Uberschall, I made the beat to his song in FL Studio just to see how easy and effortless it was. He just through together a bunch of premade default loops and beats found in the packs, basically.

yes but they still like the starwars video because its funny :O and I know that is of course true, but I and I think alot more, don't like to watch videos I think suck, why would I search them. Ok maybe for fun ones more, to show to people how this video sucks, but by only doing that it doesn't get 30 million vieuws T_T On different Videos to, since there is more then just 1 link to that video.

And you're missing the point here. Yes, people liked that video, but it wasn't because of the quality. It was because it was so bad it was funny. The same notion can be applied to listening to Soulja Boy. And also, attributing to the views=quality argument you're holding, if it was true that because his video has been watched so many times then everyone must love him, then how come there isn't a single person in this thread who's said anything positive towards him? How come I know a wide variety of people in real life who hate him or just don't care for him?

And what does the rating on a Youtube video have to do with anything? Again, you're missing the point. How many people do you know could have viewed that video and rated it high out of sarcasm? And just because it has a high rating that doesn't mean every single person who viewed that video rated it highly.
