Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this.

So my friend has her paper on a flash drive (SanDisk 512mb Cruzer Mini), and now whenever she tries to access it, it says that it needs to be formatted. I've been Googling around, I found this GetDataBack software, but I haven't been able to get it to find anything.

Do I need to format the drive before I do this? Please help, I'm not very savvy when it comes to memory. Thanks.

I also have a SanDisk drive and onyl encountered this once. All I did was unplug it and plug it into a different flash drive. Or leave the window that says it wants to format and go to "My Computer" and find the drive which should be easy as piss.

Yeah, that's when I get the message, is when I try to access it. I'm almost positive that I need to format it before I get the data back, but I don't want to just eat her paper and not be able to get it back.

For some reason, this happens to me on my friend's computer. I don't really know why, but try using the usb on a different computer (in fact, if i recall correctly, this also happened occasionally with the old floppy A's).
