Another entry for me.

[SIZE="7"]Kraken[/SIZE]



The Kraken is a midsized warship designed to constantly pummel the opposition with vulcans, bullets and whatnot while still being able to withstand a considerable amount of fire. It fires volleys of bullet shots and vulcans almost continuously, before unleashing it's three lasers.

This ship is just an experiment on a design that I thought was pretty cool, and I'm pretty sure I did a good job on this one. What it lacks in mobility, it makes up for in firepower; which is the theory I was working with. It was pretty easy on the earlier ranks, where I just flew behind it and killed it's armor, but on the later ranks, it's wepons recover pretty quickly, and you'll die pretty often. I recommend getting behind it either by placing a decoy or boosting and pommel it's back armor with blaster shots. Behind it, the only thing that can hit you are the homing missles and the player-aiming vulcans.

Probably. All ranks are at 100, except for the few bosses that froze my computer at that level >_>

The set up is really nice but way to hard. I'd bring the ranks down to 50 at most. Its a shame I can't play with the bigger res [lags like a bitch] so I can see all the messages and such.

The final boss is ridiculous. There is literally no way to survive I had to resort to respawning again and again on the main core firing the blaster for about 15-30 minutes while moving at 1 FPS... Just so I can get a bloody "thanks for playing" screen =\

My final score was 1061400 at 526.7 seconds [lag effects the time].

Still, its probably my favorite try stage out of all the ones I got [defaults >_>]

EDIT: I loved the "repairs" obstacle course thing, that was fun!

If you're experiencing a lot of lag, you can try turning down a number of settings before lowering resolution. You can set the Draw level to 'User', set Effect to 0%, Draw type to normal, Background to none, Radar to Core.

If I ever make another one of these, I might add an option at the beginning for difficulty that controls ranks.

Also, I'm glad so many people enjoyed the maze/obstacle course. It was fun to make :D

The biggest boss I've ever made. He's obviously a heavyweight. He's supposed to be like an Alien Virus or something XD. He took me over an hour to kill too x_x. The fight is divided into 4 phases: The tentacles, the outer eyes, the outer shell, and the core. Basically you spend your time: 90% running, 9% dying, and 1% attacking. He's really tough.


Note that those orb-like things are drones that detatch. He's exactly 40 parts. These drones are all armed with small lasers. The main unit is armed with a superior laser and 4 Missiles (homing lasers)


This is personally my favorite of my entrys. He's supposed to be undead, so thats why hes so skeleton-like. Note that there are 8 "rocks" surrounding him, I could only fit 6 in the pic. The Rocks are supposed to be moving via otherworldly force (he's a ghost, what else needs be said). He uses a LOT of powerballs. Only his head is vulnerable. He's almost impossible on Rank 100 (someone is going to prove me wrong here). After a lot of practice, I can beat him only losing 8 lives.... but annnyway, I'm done boring you with stories. He's a heavyweight.


Look what I can do with 16 parts. He's a fun but easy boss. Armed with dual lasers, and convetional small weapons. Well armored for something that size


If you've ever played Metroid Prime, you'll instantly recognize this guy ^_^ He's a heavyweight. You fight him (somewhat) like you do in the game. First you shoot the base of his wings untill they fall off. Then you shoot where the wings were (torso) with the blaster. Most of his attacks are faithful to the game too. Lasers, missiles (homing lasers), and bombs (powerballs) The only oddball is the bullets, but they make him look really cool.

So were these quality enough?

Now to get started on a Space Station...

You might want to hold off on that space station Evan. The competitions over. Plus you didn't put download links so we could use the bosses for the collab any way. Theres a download link to the try we made from the entries on the previous page.

It doesn't matter that I missed the contest because I had a lot of fun making these guys.

EDIT: O.O I got pwned by the space station........ BADLY!!! I beat him in half an hour... I must have died 20 times there... (I also regret fighting omni, he was very tough)

Yeah post your ships in the Offcial Fraxy Bosses thread since this is over. Could a mod unsticky this and close it, we can put a link to the try mission in the bosses thread.

I have made the ULTIMATE fraxy boss. well, not really... but it is good. I am not sure what it is but it's to small to be heavyweight. it is mostly guns. lots of guns. yeah
