Shading Practice

For an assignment, I had to do some shading. I handed it in, but then I saw some flaws in the light and darkness. I didn't really like it. This isn't the original. I drew this one about two days later. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

That's pretty awesome.
That shiney reflection on the shadow side shouldn't be there.

The cup was made out of clay, so it was lumpy, but it was glazed, so it had shine.

But if that part is in shade like it is supposed to be, there would BE no shine because there would be no light. Unless the light source is sort of coming from the side, in which case the shadow is facing the wrong direction

Eh, cool shadow anyway.
