post-post edit: Actually, now that I remember, I would say I was a noob when I joined SP, a newb when I joined SPP, a noob again later that year, up until early this year, and now I'm just a somewhat decent member.

Noob means somebody who you don't like because they act like an eggbrain or something a newb is a person hwo is new and who doesn't know much. I'd say newb (some peeps are newbish noobs). You can be a noob even if you've been with this site for ages lol, that's what a noob is.

Why is there not a "both" option? =P

When i first joined SP in, like, 2004, I was both a Newb and a Noob. I quickly demolished my noob status, but am in many ways still a newb.

Lol, i think a noob is somebody who is like an idiot and a newb is a new person. You can have a newbish noob which is obviously a new person who acts like an idiot.
