I prefer the first, since it has a nicer effect and the angle looks more accurate, although, the shaping isn't too nicely done.

I've always found them hard to use. Saying that, I find adding any type of colour to any drawings I do difficult.

Yes they are a pain in the ass actually, but you get used to them.
